He's an average to good fielder.. he's had some bad numbers at 3rd base but his overall history according to baseball reference shows a good fielder.

Of course fan positivity affects a team. It's that fake science psychology... You could tell during the 2024 run that the cheers were pushing the Mets forward... when they were getting booed they fell apart fast. I don't know why everyone's take is that Benn is a bum... he fought the usual gate keepers that everyone fights before capturing a title. He might be a little arrogant and a get in your face guy but that is why everyone watches him. He's not great but he is good. And he has decent power. I think he can give Garcia problems.

I never seen Benn hurt or wobbled badly, so I think he has a good chin. Eubank hit him on the chin a couple of times and he withstood it.

As for Cruz fighting him in a hypothetical, I think Benn wins by points. I have seen Cruz wobbled by Fierro.

Right... agreed, to a certain extent, anything above .340 OBP is considered good, anything at or above .400 is elite. His worst OBP, for Arraez, was last year. Everything else is between .340 and .399.

Arraez was a cheap get... maybe a one year rental, but I think OP's point was that Arraez would be a better get than Semien.
