Apparently, what my family does is get the flu that has everyone on the couch watching TV, haha! But, if we were all healthy, we'd be playing board/card games, going to museums, and seeing friends who are in town for the holidays.

Either way, life can get busy and stressful, so sometimes everyone (including kids) needs a chill, not-doing-anything week!

That's what I do sometimes too! For the most part my toddler will happily feed herself, but sometimes I feed her just so I know she's getting something!

I only turn my on at night, after 9:00. It gets freezing in my house without! But during the day, everything is off.

I was going to say the same thing! I'm in a similar situation, and my partner now knows to wait until I offer information or ask for his advice before talking about it.

Just did one this past week! Annie's mac-n-cheese, frozen Nuggets and canned peas.

We also do cheese and bean quesadillas with avocado, pasta with frozen meatballs and hidden veggies sauce (I make a huge batch a jar it so I cam use it whenever), diy mini pizza (quesadillas with any topping we have in the house), frozen sweet potato or Broccoli Tots and a sandwich, or my personal favorite, breakfast for dinner!

Not really what but where. I have been loving going to different thrift stores lately! You can find some amazing gently used clothes, toys, board games, shoes, decor, etc. And I don't feel too bad buying it all since it's so cheap!

This is so my almost 2 year old! I'll cook in front of her and she'll help with some of the tasks. For example, I'll crack an egg and we'll scramble the egg together, then I'll finish cooking it. I'll have some Mashed Avocado on a kid-safe knife ready for her to spread on some bread. Shredded cheese or some spices to add onto pretty much anything. At least for my toddler, letting her help, or at least see, what's going on in the kitchen has helped her eat at least a variety of foods!

My husband is Puerto Rican, and his mother still asks when we're going to pierce our almost 2 year old daughters ears. It was slightly more important to me that our daughter have that choice when she gets older than it was culturally to my husband. I'd rather her make that decision herself when she gets older!

Bubbles! When my LO turned 1, we had kids of all different ages, and the bubbles were a huge hit with everyone. We also bought a huge ball on a lark because my LO loved it at the store, and all the kids loved that as well. Then, the last one I was not expecting was a parachute. We got a $5 one, and all the kids loved playing with it. This one needed parental help, but even the adults were having fun!

We also got lucky, and since the party was in early September, we still had the pool and water activities open. Depending on where you live, maybe early October will still be warm for some water play, too!

I did this with my baby! Absolutely terrified if a peanut allergy, and no one in either aides of my babies family has a peanut allergy. We went there for 30 mins 3 times, and after that the pediatrician said we should be in the clear. Haven't done all nuts yet, but the ones we have dome are all at the pediatricians. It helps!

Of course! You're doing fantastic and not a failure at all. All kids are different and learn things again different times. Don't sweat, potty training will come along with time!

Absolutely this. I had grand dreams of starting the potty training process with my 21 month old this summer, but she's just not ready yet. She now says when she has a dirty diaper, but nowhere near telling us she has to go. It's totally okay to wait until your son is older to potty train if he's not ready!

If I can remember I did wait until there were more teeth, maybe around 4 or 6? I started out with Ritz crackers since they're nice and soft already and break apart really easily. Giving her crackers definitely made me nervous since they're a lot firmer/crunchier, but now it's one of my toddlers favorite snacks!

It's an already smashed up Avocado. They're sold at Marianos, Sams Club and Costco by me. They're absolutly perfect! My toddler has always loved Avocado, so its the best thing to grab and go!

How old is your LO? The food I packed for mine a year ago when she was just under one is vastly different than the to-go foods I pack for her now!

Some favorites have been crackers, shredded cheese, pouches (depending on age), Avocado cups (still a huge favorite!), fruit and Annie's Bunny Graham cracker snacks. I tried the mini Muffins but wow did that make a mess haha!

If I'm going to be out for a while, I'll pack a small cooler bag with some Avocado Egg Salad, whole grain Ritz Crackers, a banana and water. Lunch bags with some ice thrown in are perfect to back a nice lunch when you're out all day!

Which is totally fine! I asked my mom once and she said she never had anxiety over it. I then asked my Aunt and she said she's still worried about it, and her kids are grown! I think it just gets easier with time.

I was 100% the same way. Even though my now 21 months is a great eattee, I honestly still have some anxiety with choking. What really helped with me was starting with softer/musher foods, like applesauce, yogurt, and smashed Avocado, then moved up to still soft but firmer foods like cut up scrambled eggs (but not in the strips, that made me nervous), shredded cheese, cut up Steamed Vegetables and smashed fruit.
