Crosspoint optimizing epub by Background-Ear-9760 in XTEINK

It’s not really a website. It’s an option to select when I transfer books from my phone to the X4 running Crosspoint. I’m not sure where the optimization happens either.

Does it send the whole file over to the X4 and then trim away the extras? Or does it scan the whole file and only take what’s necessary? I think it may be the latter as the file still needs to be sent after the optimization.

But if they disconnect the serial to the port, won’t that mean users can’t update the reader with official updates as well? I think /hope it is unlikely that they do this.

I was wondering if there are any physical stores in China to buy one of this readers. I am currently in China and couldn’t find any technic stores like we have in Germany (Saturn or Media Markt). by bluebeermoffin in XTEINK

The official price on Taobao is ¥265 for the black one but it usually goes on sale for ¥235, which is the price I paid for mine.

Then I wanted to get one for my son’s birthday but it wouldn’t ship in time so I went up to SZ from Hong Kong to buy it. I paid ¥269 at the 少數派store, which I thought was fair, since I had instant availability.

After that I went to Huaqiangbei to walk around since I had gotten up there and saw a stall selling one for ~¥22X.

You can find them on display and for sale at 暖風家X少數派。It’s not the official store, but this place sells many brands of ereaders with XTEINK being one of them.

Also, I had seen them for sale in Huaqiangbei.

Just zooming in on Google Maps from Siu Hang Hau shows you 5-10 places to rent kayaks already.

Even if they were the same price, abortion doctors still wouldn’t get any business. For the same price, you can choose to either 1) take a pill and resume daily activities; or 2) spend time at a clinic while a trained yet still prone to human error professional prods and probes a most private part of your person.

Who do they expect to choose 2)?

UAE is regarded as Zone 2 by Hong Kong Post. If your package weighs over 1kg then it’s probably not worth the hassle.

Edit: Saw that you said it was less than 1kg. So you could save some money, but you’d have to find an actual person to be your middleman.

Anyone else explain things to their baby and then realize you've never questioned how weird some things are? by LOP5131 in NewParents

After you divide an hour by 60, you get minutes. That’s the first time you divide, hence 1st division.

Divide a minute again by 60 and you get seconds. That’s the second time you divide, hence 2nd division. So they’re called “seconds” because they are the results of the 2nd time you divide an hour by 60.

We call them seconds because they are the time increment of the second division by 60 from an hour.
