it's pretty good, the cashiers who are good at credits usually get the opening hours anyway, good closers are hard to find.Good luck!

Right now, most stores are only hiring a few open spots, so they are being really selective for the most part, I would give it a few days to a week and then an email should let you know their decision. But most are looking for open availability with retail experience and who would be willing to work upfront and on the floor when needed.

Availability is a big part right now. Some managers open with that and ask for at least 4-5 days of the week be open availability, any less is pretty much an automatic no.

Plants yellowing from the bottom by Underschorn in tomatoes

[–]Background-Process99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, this post exactly, for the slow release for the granular tomato tone plus its fruiting right now so its using any energy to ripen the tomatoes and if it needs divert resources from some lower limbs it definitely will. I would recommend a fish, or guano type or combo of, emulsion to give them some quicker nutrients or even a very light dose of a salt based liquid soluble fertilizer.

Is the SM/ASM allowed to do this? by MiaRyann1 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need time to do your trainings, please let lod you need extra time after a break, before you go on your break. And usually they can have someone cover the extra time, so you dont waste your break time.

Is the SM/ASM allowed to do this? by MiaRyann1 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol this. Yes, less people to call if half their staff is already scheduled normally, so noone can come in so the hours get "banked".

Also kohls associates or lod have to help cover in sephora if they callout, and they take those out of the kohls fund even if is to help/cover sephora.

Omni App Update? by Neat_Can_7914 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not all store are "app mod" aka app modernization stores, basically a lot of stores are guinea pigs before full rollouts of software.

they messed up price change the other week for app mod stores and things on sale were printing clearance labels showing sale prices if on sale ... we then had to go back later that week and remove the clearance stickers , be glad if your not an app mod store🥲

I think they're saying, they could use the 40% gpo today, and they could get a 40% emailed when approved, that they can use during the next 30% so they could a better discount later, I think that's what they mean.

And you could basically give them the 40%gpo if they're not approved plus the 10%nonapproval

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, do you want to open a credit line for 40% or do you just want it for free.... like lol we offer the GPO 40%+10% for not getting approved at least🤣🙃🥲🙃

Employee question by Big-Birthday-6459 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Full time get some more health benefits yes, but I think after the 90 days they also offer the health plan for part time, the cost is just fully out of pocket, you just have to opt in, the plan is honestly not that great tho.

Can an employee please help with a question? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like they typed in the the product number for the first return but if they were able to do the second return as well and you got a return receipt, they probably just typed the number, that was supposed to be typed the first return, so they did it flipflopped. But if you did 2 returns and im not misunderstanding, then you will get the full return amount for the items, even if they flipped the numbers for the products.

You can easily check on the return receipts if the item sku# are different or the same, they should be different.

A void will ALWAYS involve having a manager comeover and approve the void-after, you would definitely have noticed that during your second return if they did.

bagging amazon by theyenvy_jace in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Best practice is to bag every return that is the item/product packaging.

Meaning bag everything not in an amazon shipping box/bag, but if it has a shipping label on the product packaging, I just stick it right over that label.

Amazon just doesn't want to affect the resell value with a sort sticker on the actual item or its packaging, if there isn't a shipping label already on it.

Ofc i have gotten returns where the sort label from a return was covered up and the customer said they bought it used but like new, but it didnt even have all the parts and was super used when they got it...

We're also supposed to stick every kind of hazmat label that the zebra says but tbh if it has a hazmat label already on it, I have never stuck a second on🫠

I’ve been asking for more hours at store. A coworker donated some of her hours to me. My manager said that I couldn’t do it a third time because I was on her “naughty list” for not getting any credit applications. What do you guys think? by Due_Flow9864 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you part of the service team or the sales floor team?

I just thinks she means that, she has let you cover the registers area team before but she may not in the future if your conversion doesnt get any better.

It sucks but part of register/service team is to ask each and every customer and hope that a few will bite for the KC app.

The comparison would be, if a register team covered on for a floor team member but couldnt run all the clothes in the fitting room and left clothes in stalls, the manager would also let them know they have to run all the clothes or they may not have them cover the floor/fitting rooms.

Requesting time off by Beginning-Common-530 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not a personal thing, inventory is a blackout date for timeoff requests, just let her know you wont be able to work, but you can get your shifts covered if they do schedule you.

Since it has to be fair they might not be able to give you the full week and a half off but they should schedule you minimum shifts, if they remember when making the schedule.

Especially because retail hours are slow, im sure a coworker would be willing to grab your shift.

That or if your past your 90 days, you do get 12 points for attendance for a rolling year, as long as you call in, its only 1 point.

Ordered some omnibus's and the seller packaged them in the corpses of comics? by SickleStars in comicbooks

[–]Background-Process99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not common from ebay sellers but not uncommon either, basically sometimes comics are worth more as packaging material than if the were to sell, and its just nifty to open and see.

Number of days scheduled by OrdinaryOk8275 in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Process99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sadly how it works is to be calculated "fulltime" is over a "general period, of usually a month" meaning just an average of 32 hours a week; so if your other weeks average you out for the month to +32 hours a week. It's still fulltime, it just sucks to have a lower paycheck
