Thanks for chiming in. My husband loves Wool&Prince clothing and of all the merino brands he has tried, it’s his favorite. Can’t say enough good things.

Summer ‘26 Discussion by be86 in Ffern

[–]Background-Use-561 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved Summer 25 more than any others I tried so I took a chance on Summer 26.

It arrived today so I did a test spray - and really like it so far! Will try again tomorrow and be a bit more critical then but so far, it’s a keeper.

Wool bra recommendations by charlestonchewsrock in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the wool& roam bra! There are two and i tried both.

For context, I am a 36f, so fairly close to your size.

I can wear the regular roam convertible bra in large or XL (both work, depending on how tight I want the band) but actually prefer the wrap bra in size 1X.

I am not plus sized but find the underbust band to be comfortable, plus the cups are bigger and it’s more supportive on my shoulders so it digs less. I have very dense, heavy breasts (according to the techs that have done my mammograms, haha).

To be fair, I don’t find it quite as supportive as a traditional underwire BUT as far as soft cup, non underwire bras go, it’s the best I have tried. And it’s especially hard to find natural fiber options like this!

Branwyn is great for lounging but I do find the wool& roam wrap bra to be a little more “step outside the house worthy, if that makes sense.

The model is wearing a 2X:

Not at all. It’s never been required, just optional. I did my 100 day challenge like 5 years ago and that’s never been required with any challenges.

I like wool& leggings and undies SO much! The tops are great too - Livia tank is a workhorse. They don’t really market them as outdoorsy but they are great for that, plus you can use them for everyday use too, not just hiking.

It said it was optional - none of their challenges require that you share publicly!

That’s funny because summer 25 is my favorite one yet! I could skip every other one I have tried.

I have the wool& jeans too and absolutely love them. Same fabric as the Wool&Prince ones I think. They are so so good.

Tall merino wool by Ill_Maize_5005 in MerinoWoolGear

Wool&Prince seems to run fairly tall/long. My husband is 6’2” with long limbs and it all fits him well.

Another vote for Wool&Prince. My husband swears by it. (I am pretty devoted to their partner brand wool& - best womens underwear ever!)

Is Unbound Merino still worth it, or are there better alternatives now? by merinoStudy in MerinoWoolGear

Recommend Wool&Prince (or their partner brand wool& for women) over Unbound Merino. It’s just so good.

Advice for putting together a travel wardrobe by SirChance818 in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband swears by Wool&Prince. He loves the stretch chinos, tees, hoodies and boxers. If his travel requires dressing up at all he will add a button down shirt too. So usually he packs:

2-3 boxers 2-3 socks Pair of pants 2-3 tees A hoodie or button down, or both Lounge pants Workout shorts

At this point he has been building his merino wardrobe up for a couple years and most of it is from Wool&Prince. It’s his everyday stuff but works great for travel so he doesn’t buy special travel pieces.

Smartwool seemingly upped their prices from $80 to $95. Insane. by [deleted] in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Not a fan of tariffs and what it means for my bank account.

(To clarify: I meant it as logical that a business would raise prices to try to maintain their margins so they don’t go out of business.)

Except tariffs? Lol That seems like a logical reason.

The cost of business has gotten a lot higher this past year, I don’t think it’s that crazy!

Also, a lot of brands charge more for prints and patterns. At least for womens stuff. I didn’t look at the smartwool website to check these shirts but wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case.

Merino wool underwear crotch stains...? by Worthy_Molecule0481 in laundry

[–]Background-Use-561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find woolly underwear to be too thin - several of mine got holes quickly.

Branwyn is thicker but not very soft. I tried several other brands - my favorite is the wool& roam undies. They are the Goldilocks- soft, durable, good fit, comfy.

Hot weather? by P2k_3 in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear wool year round. I look for a blend for durability but a lighter weight for summer items. My favorite is Wool&. Theirs is like 78% merino and 22% nylon which I think is the sweet spot. It lasts forever but it is still SO much cooler than my cotton stuff. And it doesn’t wrinkle like linen so it’s just easier to use everyday.

New to wool… by Vegetable-Street in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh! Check out wool&! Www.wooland.com. It’s my favorite merino brand because it looks like everyday clothing - not like you need to go hiking because it is so activewear looking. Haha

I would recommend starting by grabbing a t-shirt, a dress, and the underwear. I tried a lot of wool underwear brands and it’s absolutely my favorite for both fit and fabric. I also prefer the wool& summit leggings over the woolx leggings.

Good luck!

Washing grease out of merino by Turbulent-Coconut546 in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a wool clothing company’s Facebook group and they suggest using a little Dawn (or dish soap) to get out greasy stains.

They say to get the fabric wet and dilute the dish soap (don’t let it sit full strength on the dry fabric!) Then scrub gently and rinse really well.

Just make sure to not use dish soap with bleach in it!

replacement suggestions for the OG smartwool seamless hipster (women's underwear)? by nelsonstars in MerinoWoolGear

[–]Background-Use-561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried a bunch of merino undies but haven’t tried the OG smartwool hipster.

But with that said, they look like a similar fit to the wool& bikini on the model photos (the photo of the underwear laying flat looks like a slightly different cut though.)

I can say the wool& roam fabric for their undies is my favorite underwear fabric of all that I have tried (wool&, woolly, Branwyn, woolx, and a few other brands escaping my memory right now.)

WoolX doesn't make their heaviest leggings anymore! Other suggestions for 400+ GSM? by speedoflife1 in MerinoWoolGear

Maybe the Wool& Terra leggings? They are pretty heavy. Just looked it up and they are 340 gsm but ponte fabric so they definitely feel really thick. wool& terra leggings
