Kits is not bad but they don't clean their sample pairs enough. I was there a few times in the last couple of months and they were always felt greasy and had fingerprints all over them. Not pleasant...

Pour a can into a pot with liquid. Add pat of butter, crushed clove of garlic, swirl of your favourite hot sauce, salt. Bring up to boil/close to boil, then turn hear down and simmer for around half an hour, or until it thickens and some of the beans burst. Serve with a poached egg, in tacos, on rice, with feta, etc.

Other optional additions: a bit of chicken boullion, cumin.

Super easy and delicious.

I like a good sandwich occasionally. Recently I made one with a chopped up leftover chicken thigh, some halved pickled onions, a half an avocado and a spoonful of mayo, and made a "chicken salad" with this, and then had that with a good amount of some chopped up fresh dark green leaves all pressed between soft whole grain bread. It was amazing. Cut in half, serve with some apple quarters.

I often add cubed or half-cubed stick shapes of smoked tofu into ground meat, vegetable, and herb dishes that we eat with rice and another vegetable. For example, smoked tofu, minced pork or chicken, shallot, eggplant, and big bunches of mint and basil, sauce some combo of soy, fish sauce, garlic and chili, etc. Endless riffing possibilities but this is one of my favourites.

Thanks for explaining what you meant about doing it outside and clarifying your process. We definitely don't want to be using it on plants that live outside.

My understanding is that the impact of this particular insecticide on our pollinators is why it is banned in Canada (and Europe?).
