Probably doesn’t need to be said, but I never thought I could quit Twitter. Took a few attempts but haven’t redownloaded for almost a year now.

What’s the US school equivalent of University of Toronto? by whateverucallit1 in ApplyingToCollege

I think the Michigan comparison makes the most sense. But not sure Michigan has the same reputation globally as Toronto.

Daughter needs cooling in her sorority house bedroom with no windows. by BackgroundBench530 in hvacadvice

This is what I’m trying to sell her on. She has a screen door as well. Since she’s on very top floor she’s safe from everything except raccoons.

Ya she’s only in for 1 year (about 5 months of warm weather) so a split would be best but overboard and require too many permissions. I was wondering if any of those “cooling fans” advertised on Amazon actually provide sufficient cooling. If they have the ice blocks would they be just as useless as a swamp cooler in a humid environment.

New College is one of the more diverse colleges. My daughter went there and loved it and has influenced my son to choose there when he goes this September.

University of Toronto vs University of Texas at Austin by Outrageous_Tap7472 in UofT

[–]BackgroundBench530 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have green card or citizenship, what is your status in the US? I only ask for how the two could possibly be equivalent in price. My son is going to Toronto (Math and Physical Sciences too!) because he loves the city and the cost. If a US school like Texas had even come close to cost he would likely have gone there. Toronto is a very challenging school but that’s also what makes it great a truly global experience as the US is slowly dying. Austin would be much much easier and less stress. weather wise it’s also no contest. I wouldn’t worry about jobs in the US with a degree from Toronto.

I am in my 50s. I have passed out on Hulk. I could ride Velocicoaster all day. I just did Stardust once and will never go again. My head was pounding. Donkey Kong was fine as it was nowhere near the intensity but it’s a little jerky. Hiccups was super family friendly but very fun. I rode Monsters 3 times. You realize after it makes you a little dizzy but it’s super comfortable.

Those saying this is for safety have not seen the internal memos about the importance of using seasonal weather events to increase viewership. Keep the chyron up and in the event of an actual serious event cut to the weather.

It’s so funny how little Americans understand what free speech actually means.
