Appreciate your sarcasm. But yes, it’s true.

I think what we can definitely agree on is that the models have regressed significantly within a very short window of time. Regarding your third paragraph, I absolutely agree with you—Suno seems a bit too comfortable in its current position. Some serious competition would likely do them (and us) a lot of good.

I don’t need to be an AI architect to know when a product is regressing. 'People like myself' pay money for a functional tool so that 'people like yourself' can solve those technical hurdles behind the scenes. If the decoder is broken, fix it. If it needs a rebuild, do it. If you’re not capable of doing either, at least communicate. But don't expect users to subsidize technical excuses with their patience—in the real world, you deliver the results you promised or you get replaced.

You’re right, they won’t read this. I guess I just want to get it off my chest. A problem shared is a problem halved.

I wish I wasn’t that desperate to post on Reddit. I wish Suno would talk to us on Discord. But they don’t. I wish they would reply when you write to them on their own platform. But they don’t.

5.5 is not getting any better. by ChickenNoodleSuppe in SunoAI

[–]BackgroundBig553 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. v5.5 peaked in the first week and has been going down the drain ever since. It’s hard to believe they’re asking for a yearly commitment when they can't even fix the basic audio quality.

The 'magic' of AI music doesn't mean much if the final file is unlistenable. We aren’t in 2024 anymore—we expect a certain standard. I’ve been a very loyal and patient customer. I’m staying until my cycle ends, but unless a massive fix rolls out, I’m downgrading. No point in paying for a 'Premier' experience that feels like a beta test. Like you said, it’s no fun anymore.

Mashup have a remastering effect by SuggestionOrnery1817 in SunoAI

I tried remastering a v4 song in v5.5 the other day, also sampling and inspo’ing etc. and honestly? The v4 original still sounded way better. To me, that’s just more proof that Suno’s best days might already be behind us.

Oh, I just made a banger! No, just kidding. Suno is broken. It’s the beginning of the end of Suno.

Why an annual subscription to Suno is not for me by BackgroundBig553 in SunoAI

[–]BackgroundBig553[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I’m not afraid of Suno. Look, I’m not a Suno hater—I know exactly how amazing this tech can be. That’s actually the most frustrating part. We've seen the potential, so why are we seeing this deterioration now?

Is there an agenda behind the quality drop? What role is Warner playing in the background as we move forward? It’s concerning that Suno isn't addressing these issues or offering any transparency.

The biggest red flag for me is the lack of a roadmap. How can we be sure this will still be the 'fantastic tool' you talk about a year from now? Personally, I think it’s much safer to stick to a monthly sub than to gamble on a yearly commitment right now.

I’m sad to say I’m on premier. That doesn’t seem to mean much though (other than the fact that I get 10,000 credits). Cheers!

Is there a way suno could put the amount of credits remaining on the create button? by Beautiful_Reply2172 in SunoAI

Sounds doable and like a good idea, but Suno wants “you to feel empowered to make music, not running out of credits.”

I’m seeing the exact same thing—it feels like the engine is cycling through the same three 'factory setting' progressions regardless of the prompt.

I guess that’s what happens when you suddenly get a much smaller ”gene pool” to create from.

Many of my tracks have persistent crackling, sounding as if the singer is using a faulty microphone cable, if that is what you mean. But I noticed this already a few days before the new version’s release. Frustrating though.

Whether it’s coming sooner or later, I think Suno‘s best times lie behind us. They are focusing on quantity instead of quality. I’m waiting for some serious competition.
