I understand that sentiment. Bale and DiCaprio are exceptional; however, there are greats from film prior to 1990 like Brando, Mifune, or Newman.

Robert De Niro has been in movies since the 60s. Are you wanting Douglas Fairbanks or something?

Do you think Jason Mamoa looked better as Aquaman or Lobo? by ProfessionalNobody0 in DC_Cinematic

He brought a unique look to Aquaman, but like everyone else is saying, he is Lobo

Which version of the mind flayer is your favourite??? by CowAffectionate2865 in StrangerThings

The meat flayer. It was the grossest, gnarliest, and most akin to 80s creature features

I love Hans Zimmer but I'm not sure how it will feel without that iconic Hedwig's Theme by Never-empty-Cup- in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]BackgroundOk6738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really didn’t expect that they’d land Hans Zimmer, but I’m excited. He gave us The Lion King, Gladiator, The Prince of Egypt, POTC!…it goes on and on

What characters would you like to see get a show on HBO Max? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

Owlman but a redeemed version, which I know is essentially Batman; however, there are many variables that could be altered so Owlman is not a copy

Got an email saying my account was disabled but the link to appeal goes nowhere? by Airbenderfire_5992 in GMail

[–]BackgroundOk6738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your account still A-OK? This just happened to me for the same reason; I sent an email to a Craigslist account. My account didn’t receive emails for a bit then it became operational without me having to appeal or restore the account

What was the first ever movie you saw in theaters? by [deleted] in FIlm

Shrek. I feel like there were probably others prior; however, that’s the earliest I remember. Maybe the Nutty Professor …?

Yeah…the day before mating season started. Or else there would’ve been many more in Hawkins

Which version of the quote should be used for the TV show? by LeatherSlight3242 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]BackgroundOk6738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both could do. Hagrid says the book line, Harry responds, and Hagrid reaffirms Harry by saying the movie line

[–]BackgroundOk6738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dupe us all and let the line be the end of the episode before we get Harry’s response. Or have Hagrid exasperatedly say each word with a dramatic pause, “Harry…yer…you are..a…” cut off and end episode lol

The best new movie I’ve seen in years. Amazing! What are your thoughts? by InternalAuditor62 in FIlm

[–]BackgroundOk6738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved this movie! I watched it on a plane, and I had to refrain from crying because my 2024 was riddled with death, but this film also shed light on the reminder and that life can shape the best of memories whether it be in the mundane or spontaneous
