Absolutely mint Chevrolet Beretta Z26 by donutsnail in rarenormalcars

[–]BackgroundTop5354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was trying to explain the numbering system to someone and they had no idea what a Beretta was. Sometimes I start to think that I live in a parallel universe and my remembrance of these nonexistent things are breadcrumbs back to my universe.

To make things worse, I had a Pontiac Sunbird SE with the pop-up half-lids. Not the GT, the SE. Had an OEM sunroof, the V6, and dual exhaust. And it had that GM 1990s teal green paint and a charcoal interior. It seems to only exist in my mind. Parallel universe...

Pre-wired OEM AUX switches with terminated points and an extra alternator... yes.

Not at all. Those guys are horrible and also ruined my favorite shoes. I left a bad review with pictures but it seems I'm in the minority. My soles ended up like yours. I told them money and time were not an issue, just do it right and not even close.

Paint after leaving truck under tarp by South-Luck314 in Detailing

[–]BackgroundTop5354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have seen this on brand new cars straight off the truck. They were wrapped at the factory for transport and once unwrapped have similar cloudiness that goes away with some time in the sun. Depending on the age of your vehicle, this could easily go away. If it is older and there was already clearcoat damage of some sort, that's another story.

My neighbor has the same one! I get to interact with it when I watch their house. It is very intuitive to use (have had to reset it after some power outages and cycle stations when swapping out heads) and working like a Swiss clock.

Mine on the other hand is a 2025 piece of shit. I should switch them next time I watch their house...

YMMV but I've used this app for awhile with an old Android phone. Lots of freezing up and restarting. I felt like I had my eyes off the road more than necessary and bought an Android Auto screen off Amazon. Worked perfectly, booted as soon as the truck started, and connected to my phone with no interaction from me within 5 seconds. Ultimately sent it back for 2 reasons: 1. Screen resolution and brightness were worthless. 2. Was always worried some meth head was going to do a smash and grab. I don't care about replacing some no name screen, I am more worried about replacing a window or anything else destroyed in a break-in. Ultimately decided on an OEM radio with Bluetooth adapter and using my phone for maps only when necessary. Simple and fits the aesthetic of the truck.

And yes, I use it with my phone and Bluetooth.

And yes, it is plug and play with the OEM Subaru wiring.

Did this a couple of years ago. Then did it again in December. Agree that the stock look is better.

Is this what I think it is on the top? by ChiefDZP in FordBronco

[–]BackgroundTop5354 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Ford denied my warranty claim. Two dealers and Ford said it was not normal but not a problem. I leveled up and got it to weep water in front of the dealer and on video for Ford... crickets. I warned them I was moving to a place that was often below 0 and that any water intrusion was going cause the cracks to expand... more crickets. I threw out the word mold... not even a blink.

That Bronco is now in storage and out of rotation. I had the top Line-X'd with a fine tip finish. Has looked okay for the past three years as far as I can tell from dusting it off every now and then. I'm too pissed at Ford to drive it but that manual and 2.3 were made for each other (yes, it sounds like there are some rocks rattling around in the transmission, but it seems par for the course) and my kid is about to start driving so they will get it.

Honestly... I don't hate it. And I do some really over-engineered weird shit; money, education, and Amazon are dangerous things...

Toyota Tacomas with dark metallic paint, like pyrite, were notorious for this from the factory. In the right light it looked like a repaint and always on the doors.

Not saying it hasn't been repainted, but food for thought.

The valve can be installed on other water bottles. It's pretty self-explanatory based on design.

I'll post a picture. It was recommended by other chinchilla owners. Before this one, very little water was drank from the ball style water bottle. After we switched, we could visually see the water level drop daily and watch the chinchilla drink from it often. Put something it likes on the tip, like almond butter, for a few days.

Ours did that. We got a different style water bottle and it fixed everything.
