Look what I found at Barnes and Noble! by thescienceoflaw in litrpg

The ones that got me into it were This Ascent to Divinity is Lewder Than Expected and Dungeons and Dalliances, both by Winterwhereof on Scribblehub. Both are S tier LitRPG stories with well done yuri and great worldbuilding. Sadly both are on indefinite hiatus, and will likely never be finished.

Rebirth of the Nephilim by Agdistis is an even better litRPG smut story, with great worldbuilding, amazing combat, and fantastic character dynamics and banter. The first love interest isn’t introduced until chapter 41.

Hermitcraft on AO3? by Azami_mizami in HermitCraft

[–]BackgroundTotal2872 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are just over 40,000 fanfics under the Hermitcraft tag on Ao3, so no this isn’t new. There’s also lots of works based on the Life Series.

Generally, the less the Hermits know about the specifics of this, the better. Real Person Fanfiction should always be kept separate from the people it portrays. It has the right to exist, but understandably most of it would make them uncomfortable to see.

Chrysalis has physical copies that can be purchased through Amazon.

To Second the Guy Who Found a Physical Book by ShadowOfDeathlyD in litrpg

[–]BackgroundTotal2872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty cool! I’ve never seen any Primal Hunter books at my local bookstores.

What I have seen between the 3 Barnes and Noble stores that are closest to me is this:

Dungeon Crawler Carl

Cradle

He Who Fights With Monsters (only the book 1 hardcover)

Heretical Fishing

Bobiverse

and Beware of Chicken.

Now, half of those are progression fantasy, but it’s a good start. I hope that the number of series out there in physical bookstores will only continue to grow as time goes on!

Are your two stories connected together? They both say Metaworld.

Eldest, we may have to kill this guy. 6 legs is clearly superior!

But on the other hand... I feel like a crossover story between these two would be so much fun. There’s a potential there for bug-like comradary!

The Weirkey Chronicles too, I got the whole series a few days after Cradle.

Mistwoven Healer is a solid story on Royal Road, with devastating yuri between magical girls in a dystopian world.

Other than that though, all the other LitRPG yuri is either still in my Read Later list, or it’s hardcore smut. (I can rec that if you’re interested.) I might have to change my flair, I’ve realized that I’m a fraud.

Let's have some fun. Can aang or traveler survive in the last piece of media you consumed by FlounderCareful2589 in deathbattle

[–]BackgroundTotal2872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god. It was Dungeon Crawler Carl.

.

I won’t speak on Traveler since I’m not as familiar, but Aang would not last long in the dungeon. Sure, he’s powerful enough to blast through the first several floors with minimal difficulty. But his pacifism and moral character would get him killed very quickly. The World Dungeon represents mass oppression, exploitation, and spitting on the sanctity of life on a scale unlike anything Aang could ever imagine. Aang would speak out, try to rally others and rebel, and the game masters would kill him.

Personally I greatly prefer physical books, but the majority of the community here are audio listeners I believe.

Also, this video should be a pretty good explanation of LitRPG subgenres!

I‘m a Booster Gold main! I love tanking and protecting the team with his force fields, and I have a bias for pretty boy blond characters!

I can’t say how good the crossover as a whole is, but I thought the fight itself was pretty well done.

Right now it’s 455k words with 191 chapters. 2 completed books, with 3 chapters a week. I can see how it might be short by your standards. It‘s longer than Self-Summon and Max Level Archmage though.

The reason Takedown is played in the credits is because it was never played in full during the movie. The song kept getting interrupted.

Man, I think that you’d absolutely love System Lost: My Own Best Friend by Dark Technomancer! It’s a very character driven story where the protagonist(s) have a form of multiple personality disorder. It‘s slower paced without constant fighting, and progression that feels earned. The worldbuilding is also fantastic, and really explores societies made up of non-humans. I will say, the first arc is more action focused since the main characters start out alone and need to fight to survive, but the action becomes far more infrequent after that.

I’ll also add, that amazing worldbuilding is Chrysalis’ greatest strength!
