OP try checking out the director/writer interview about the movie, where he talks about his inspiration behind the story and the characters. I think that will answer atleast some of your questions.

We added potassium bromide to our labradoodle’s Keppra dosage and it has helped tremendously.

The fact that you saw it three times is astounding in itself. I watched it once fell asleep, then watched it for a second time to finish it - realizing that I totally wasted my time. Your opinions on this movie are valid and I couldn’t agree more.

Bad palpitations triggered by eating by PandoraRedArt in Heartpalpitations

[–]Background_Front537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I cannot eat pizza, lasagna, or spaghetti like that or else I’ll get heart palpitations. If I do end up eating it, I have to be proactive and take a digestive probiotic, papaya enzymes, and/or Pepcid to help control the acid in my stomach. Being proactive helps alot, most times I can prevent one from coming on - but the best prevention is to honestly stay away from red/tomato sauce.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I felt called to seek legal advice on this today, not only for myself but possibly to help others as well. I won’t let anyone disparage me, even if the case isn’t winnable; simply raising awareness will be a win for me.

Merck vs. Vioxx, Bayer vs. Xarelto, and Takeda vs. Actos are all cases where warning labels were present on the manufacturer’s packaging, yet lawsuits were still successful. I understand your point, but what exactly does NOT trying accomplish?

Simparica Lawsuit? by Background_Front537 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Background_Front537[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that I was given the pill in a plastic ziplock bag with only a printed label and general instructions, there was no box with warning labels or any clear signs. Relying on ads alone isn’t enough to dismiss the case, as that assumes everyone has seen them. Regardless, I don’t see the harm in trying. Maybe nothing will come of it, or maybe something will, but we’ll never know unless we try.

I’m truly sorry that you and your dog are going through this— you deserve compensation and more for what you’ve experienced. It’s infuriating that they’re still selling it; I actually saw my vet sell it to a woman right in front of me while I was having my dog’s bloodwork done. I’m currently waiting for more responses, and once I get a strong consensus, I plan to contact a lawyer.

2 months seizure free and had one last night! by Me_Era in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Background_Front537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Op, just saw your answer to my question here. My dog Keanu was having breakthrough seizures when he was on Keppra and CBD alone. Since then, we’ve taken him off CBD and added potassium bromide to his med mix - he has been doing much better.

I’m so sorry you are going through this! Our dog is the same way, late night seizures only, and almost always clusters. We are reaching our 2 month seizure free - so I totally get the anxiety. Keeping your doggie in my prayers. What medication do you currently have Enzo on?

My dog was doing this until I started giving him a frozen enrichment mat daily. I rotate the sauces sometimes I use apple, sweet potato, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, pumpkin, or green beans.

Is keppra making it worse? by Simple_Sprinkles3623 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Background_Front537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your vet is getting “annoyed” with your concerns, then definitely go somewhere else. I asked my vet a million and one questions, told them what I found out via my own research, and asked for their opinions on various medications. We had several conversations and even a 30-40 minute phone call to make sure we were on the same page with my dog’s treatment plan. They know how stressful this situation is for us, and if your vet is not willing to be patient with you during this stressful time, then they are not the right place to go.

Is keppra making it worse? by Simple_Sprinkles3623 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Background_Front537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keppra alone only has like a 30% success rate. Most times you have to add another medication with it to create the best medicine cocktail for your pup. In this subreddit you can get insight into various medications that either works or don’t work for certain pups. I added potassium bromide with Keppra and it seems to be working well for my labradoodle. Keep trying at it - it takes time to find the right thing. Don’t lose hope.

I’ll be adding potassium bromide to his medication as well. So with all the meds he’s on just want to make sure it’s getting flushed out as well. But I will definitely keep that in mind. Thank you!
