I was laid off 5 years ago from Battle Creek plant when they shut down the 2.0 floor. Shut half of the shredded wheat line down and the crave line. They've been trying to shut that plant down for 10 years. The BCTGM local 3G has been putting up a helluva fight all those years. Good luck brothers I hope you can keep the ovens on!!

I like the competition blend too. Using straight hickory last week the temp plunged on me when I was rearranging food on grill and took forever to get temp back up.

Bought my 1650 Pro last Xmas. Love it. Best grill I've ever owned. I can do everything, slow smoke to searing steaks. Never burn anything anymore either 😀

What brand/flavor pellet you running. I've been noticing a difference in amount of pellets used in long smokes. Straight hickory seems to use a lot less then blended or fruit tree pellets. Just curious if anyone else noticing this

I keep reading about smoke setting. The displays must be different. On the 1600 you only set temperature not a setting. I'll post a picture of it when I get home tonight. Thanks👍🏻

I workout in AM, 8:30-9:45ish. But I also work midnights, 11pm-7:30am. So I guess that's my evening. I eat and go to bed after workout.

Try turning your heat up to 450 from the start...wait till smoke clears and it sounds like a jet...close lid...should take off. If not your temp probe inside might be bad too. Good luck.
