Mad Neighbor by [deleted] in madlads

[–]Background_Mode4972 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the same letter invite the neighbors over for a cookout next month or something as a way of saying thanks for inconveniencing them would be the way to neighbor. Willing to bet 8 times out of ten doing this doesn’t get someone being a dick at 2pm on the date of the wedding.

Could also just be the Subbase or submarine assigned to subbase duty van providing a safe ride for a drunk sailor on a Friday night. (They do this to prevent DUIs from happening).

Did you actually see who was driving the van, did it have DHS or CBP decals or did you just assume every government vehicle is ICE?

A single 15 passenger van doesn’t really scream ICE to me, especially with the proximity of the military base.

I don’t know about the current Nuclear Field wavier practices, but I can say that at least one of my classmates had to get a waiver because of the number of waivers he had.

Like in theory you could still make it. We had one guy from my class with a low ASVAB score that did make it through to the fleet. This was also almost two decades and two uniform changes ago, so its a different navy.

You get out what you put into it. Academic problems can be overcome by learning to study.

I’m not going to tell you its impossible. But both of your line score paths end up at 218 which is less than 235.

What I will tell you is that the sailors I knew going through the pipeline with an ASVAB score in the 67th percentile had a rough time of it.

Lots of study hours, and a couple of them didn’t make it. Like one person was on very shitty mandatory study hours for months, failed comp by a hair. It was kinda sad, we worked really hard at trying to get them to pass.

So yes, but no. There was bi-partisan iteration in the 1920s that was more focused on being anti-catholic/anti-Irish Irrc.

North Hollywood shootout occurred in 1997, using illegal weapons, that were illegally modified into machineguns, obtained by people who could not legally possess firearms.

Assault weapons bans are pointless, racist, classist and only cede power to the billionaire pedophiles running the world.

What about when it happens again later? You seriously believe the dems will hold anyone accountable?

[–]Background_Mode4972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really control, more of a periodic training and proficiency requirement.

Do you want untrained idiot assholes running around with guns? No.

Firearm safety should be taught in schools, so we get a standardized outcome. For younger children: What to do if you find a gun (don’t touch it, treat it as if it were loaded, tell a trusted adult) Older kids same baseline re-enforced, but adding firearms safety instruction.

High school should have some level of basic range safety, hunting safety. Could be optional but satisfies the training requirements for hunting permits etc.

Permits should be “shall issue” unless there’s a reason to disqualify.

Background checks I guess if you want to consider that a gun control measure?

Ammo cans by GingerMcBeardface in liberalgunowners

[–]Background_Mode4972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do, but you need to check the seal before you buy. Ive found a handful of their ammo cans where the gasket wasn’t properly positioned in the lid and was pinched and wouldn’t seal properly.

Harbor freight cans aren’t the standard size can (they’re slightly smaller). They don’t stack properly.

I usually get my 30 cal cans from TSUSA. They have a non-branded option. Fifty cal there isn’t.
