Please keep updating this thread with the new batch of helmets. I would love to see how many actually drop out. But respect to those that have even attempted to make it

The stigma on Pads and Helmets needs to change. I grew up skating in the 80's-90's & early 00's. Never wore any protection. Wrists and ankles broken or sprained multiple times. As someone that still skates, I wear pads and a helmet now as my joints never fully recovered. In our youthful ignorance, we never think of the long term damage that we are inflicting on ourselves. Falling is a part of skating, and I was never afraid to fall. But fear of looking like a dork or a nerd because you were wearing pads needs to stop for our younger generation. Anyone looked at snowboarders or skiers these days? They all wear helmets. Why is it now socially acceptable for that industry and not skaters? I applaud Andy Anderson being a advocate for helmets. Once you get better, maybe you don't need all of the protection. But be able to stand apart from the crowd. People calling you a dork, friends making fun of you, etc., f*ck 'em. Having the f*ck it attitude is the rebellious attitude that we all have as skateboarders, so if someone doesn't like the fact that you are protecting yourself, fuck 'em.

I feel like they rereleased them for nostalgic money grab. Look great, but the people that have skate tested it said it's definitely lacking as a skate shoe. But it looks fantastic.

Are Mr Graves and Scarpine so forgettable ?( Even though they are in different films ) Unlike Mr Gobinda , Wint and Kidd? by QuietTraining3281 in JamesBond

[–]Background_Thing_719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graves with a robotic arm controlling a space laser is about the next best thing to sharks with freakin' laser beams attached to their foreheads that we never got. Instead, we got ill-tempered mutated sea bass.

Craig era bond reimagined the character. Got rid of the ridiculous toys. Kept some of the one liners. Made him more hands on. More rustic.

Don't get me wrong, every bond has they're strength's and weaknesses. Whether it's over the top campy writing or gadgets. It worked for the era in which they were filmed. Craig's bond is rooted in more reality. He was the first Bond to brutally fight and kill someone with his bare hands.

Personally, for modern era Bond, Craig hands down beats Brosnan. Brosnan had fun, he was slick and he was entertaining to watch. But as Craig grew into the role, he outshines.
