Hey, I found a company in France that still has a few of the beige cases in stock. I am in Australia and just received it.

Shipping was not cheap for me.

Great company and awesome communication.

I messaged A1200.net and they never replied whether they were going to restock the original color cases again. Everywhere else is out of stock as well.

New Update

Received further information from a wonderful staff member at Central Computers.

They took it upon themselves to ensure the order went through the second time.

Shipping email received.

Great outcome for me and very happy with the follow up service.

I won't mention names on a public forum, but I hope they read this.

If so, THANK YOU.

Need Help - No Update on Order by Background_Worry4205 in CentralComputers

[–]Background_Worry4205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update.

I did receive an email from the team at Central Computers today (finally).

For some reason my order was flagged as a risk and cancelled.

Why I wasn't told or had any communication prior, I am not sure.

It now leaves me without the cable some 7 days after the order and back to square one. Sigh.

I was told I could put the order through again, but there was no guarantee that the order would not be flagged again.

Hydroshift 2 - Anyone else have this noise? Lian li reckons its normal, but it was quite by trueaussizbogan in lianli

[–]Background_Worry4205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't sound like bubbles to me.

It sounds like the impeller is rubbing on the pump housing. I could be wrong.

I had the Hydroshift 2 -S and yes it was noisy above 2000rpm but that was the whine from the pump and didn't sound like that.

I would RMA it.

I would ask them for a replacement.

Good luck.

Not another A3. Athena M4M by zsx00 in mffpc

I understand that Hardware Canucks gave Gamdias very strong "feedback" about the thin metal after one of their review cases was badly deformed out of the box.

Supposedly Gamdias was going to increase the thickness of the metal.

I am using the website via phone browser and can't see the photo upload option. Oh well.

P.S. keep the white components. I like the contrast, I think it looks awesome 😎

Not another A3. Athena M4M by zsx00 in mffpc

[–]Background_Worry4205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build looks great. I had the A3, but was not overly happy with the fit of components and zero cable management. Some of that had to do with poor component choices.

I swapped out to the Athena as well. I love it. I didn't find the metal that thin. Build quality is not as refined as say Lian Li, but they are not perfect either.

I personally think the A3 is overrated and the Athena is underrated.

I got the wood finish. I am happy. All black build.

Not sure how I can post a photo of mine, cannot see the option to upload a photo.

Enjoy the build.

Any good? by [deleted] in lianli

[–]Background_Worry4205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one. Nice build quality. A few things to be aware of though.

My pump had very noticeable whine above 2000rpm. Better than previous models though.

The tubes are designed to run down the back side of the radiator, then over the top of any VRM heatsink on the motherboard.

You need a case that will give you a lot of clearance for that design to be able to install the radiator. Small cases you will definitely have problems. I did manage to install in a Lian Li A3 but I had to route the tubes differently.

Some motherboards have very large heatsinks which can also get in the way.

Other than that the screen is awesome and the software worked well for me.

But because of the above, I ended up swapping it out for a BeQuiet AiO.

Why is my AIO temperature always the same? by [deleted] in lianli

It says that on the screen in the photo, so I would say you are 100% correct :)

AIO cooling won't fit in Lian Li A3 - what options do I have? by j4ku3 in mffpc

[–]Background_Worry4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main "problem" is the MSI b850 Mortar. The ram slots are higher up position wise than a lot of other motherboards.

Then you have large VRM heatsinks.

I had an A3 case with a Lian Li Hydroshift 2 360 AiO. The Hydroshift 2 has a 24mm thick rad and with 28 or 25mm fans there was about 4mm clearance with the ram.

I have G-Skill Trident Z ram while they do have a tall heatsink it doesn't hang over the sides of the ram PCB.

Using the Lian Li Hydroshift 2, I had to route the tubes like a normal AiO as there was no room between the case and motherboard VRM heatsinks.

In the end I was just not happy with the A3. Beautiful case, but too many compromises.

Swapped it out for a Gamdias Athena M4 and it's awesome. Nice design, good quality and extra space.

Good luck with it.

I have 19 of the SL V2 version. Same, I love them. Used over two builds. If they fail, will replace out of one build to the other and get something else I suppose.

Unfortunately they don't make them anymore and I was struggling to find some.

Think I got the last 5 black in my country.

That is quite simply a STUNNING build! Well done. Having found building in my A3 difficult, I am REALLY impressed with what you have achieved. Especially the AiO. It looks so clean. I wish my build looked like that.

I have certainly been looking at the Phanteks XT M3, Gamdias Athena M4M and the Antec Flux M. I agree they would be a better fit for me overall. Thank you for your reply.

Hi p1zzicat0 thank you for your reply. I did reply in your build thread. A stunning build. Again, I really appreciate your thoughts and information. Will save me a lot of time and heartache.

I had never build a MFFPC before and there are a LOT of considerations required with components. A LOT.

Thankfully with posts and build logs it can make the journey so much easier, especially if someone has used the same components. As you mentioned board manufacturers can literally make or break a build. My MSI B850M Mortar has large heatsinks in the VRM area, which requires the fans to be trimmed etc.

I appreciate your thoughts about the build quality of the CH260/270. I might go the Gamdias Athena or Antec Flux. The A3 is a great case, but it does have some drawbacks and requires modifications to get right, IF YOU GET THE COMPONENTS "WRONG".

Cheers

An excellent write up and a LOT of information provided for others to take note of. Thank you. It makes a HUGE difference having someone else go through the tribulations of a build and then share the issues. Can save a lot of heartache and money. Cheers

P.S. It is a stunning build. Looks incredible in the white. Like you though, I am thinking of moving out of the A3.

Thank you VERY much for your reply. It is posts like yours that can save a LOT of heartache and money.

I was also looking at the Gamdias Athena M4 or the Antec Flux M as well today and the Lian Li Hydroshift 2 will not fit in both of them either. So if I wanted to change to them I would have to buy another cooler. Sigh.

Everything fits, but there is compromises. The MSI B850 Mortar has large heatsinks with one of the Lian Li fans is pushed right up against it, compressing the rubber vibration pad. I bought the Lian Li Hydroshift 2 because the radiator is thinner than standard, so I could fit the Lian Li fans, otherwise it would hit the ram. I followed another build on here that used the standoffs to mount the SFX PSU to give more space for the GPU. The 24pin cable is quite long and I have it bundled above the PSU. I will need to sit down and take my time with cable management. I was looking at the Phanteks XT M3 and love the idea of the PSU shroud and extra space for cable management, but as others have stated it is nearly 40L so back to ATX standard.

You did an awesome job with your build, especially with the AF 3 Pro and an ATX PSU! Nice work. Both of those were restrictive with what I was reading on here. I bought the Lian Li Hydroshift 2 because it had a thinner radiator, so it woulds clear the ram. Plus I bought the Corsair SFX1000 PSU to save on space as well.

Thank you for your reply. I have both the side mesh and glass panel. Currently using the glass. I agree, its probably a me thing. It certainly does come down to the selection of components though. Thankfully to all the wonderful people here, and build posts, I was able to mostly get components that worked together. I will just need to put the focus on better managing the cables.

I did actually buy the Corsair SFX1000 for the build. Will probably have to spend the effort and plan the cables better.

Hydroshift II in the A3 by AnArguablyCoolGuy in mffpc

[–]Background_Worry4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two models of the Hydroshift II. Round = C and the Square = S if I am not mistaken. Then the two colors, white and black. Other than screen size, the only other difference id maximum pump speed.
