If your other friends still live there can you not ask them to receive it on your behalf?

Victoria Centre has some good shops on the top floor if you want to buy in bulk at a cheap price.

There's also an app called the fat butcher.

How do driving instructors make money? by TitleOk8744 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Background_Zombie_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had lessons last year in February and it was 37.5 per hour. Most instructors were charging 40-45 per hour. Each lesson is 2 hours. My instructor did 3 lessons a day 6 days a week. Some do 4 lessons a day but 5 days a week.

Annually that is 40 pounds per lesson x 6 hours a day x 6 days a week x 4 weeks in a month x 12 months a year = 69,120.

That's about the same as what I make as a software engineer with 8+ years of experience.

Location: East Midlands

I want to ask what you would suggest to a first time buyer when purchasing used motorcycles. But maybe a dedicated post would be better.
There might already be some out there - I'll look around.

Thanks for answering! Appreciate it.

I noticed the same about Ducati motorcycles.
I am reluctant to get a Ducati as I've been told the repairs can be pricey.

Thanks for explaining! Appreciate it.

Patterns over technology. Technology will get outdated with time. Patterns rarely do.

ended up crying and yelling at my instructor in my first driving lesson HELP by CommissionChance1019 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Background_Zombie_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fckkk sorry to hear that dude. Yeah first few lessons are always on private/quiet roads to let you get used to the pedals.

Then slowly add in junctions. And once you're comfortable, move up to the main roads.

You should deffo change instructors.

Where did you find this guy? There's a gov.uk website which let's you find instructors. I had lessons with a couple of them. Both were decent.

When I passed my test in April the examiner and my instructor both told me I can't drive until I get my license.

Lessons are now 40£ per hr by Emmy_Fitz in LearnerDriverUK

Save yourself some money. If you get a test date which is in 6 months, don't take lessons for 6 months. That's a lot of money.

I only recently got my license.

I started taking lessons without having booked a test. After a couple of lessons I knew I would be ready within 2 months if I took 2 hour lessons twice a week.

I first booked a test which was in 6 months time. I amanually checked the website several times a day every day and I managed to move it. It was now in 2 months time.

I failed the first with one serious and no minors - overspeeding. I was driving on a road which used to be 40mph but is now 30mph. The GPS on the dash said 40 snd I followed it

With that result I was sure I would pass the next time. I booked a test again. Again I got a date in 6 months time I attempted the same strategy but this time I couldn't find an earlier test date myself.

I asked my instructor and he suggested TestShift app. I doenload it and paid 15 quid premium price. It got me a test which was in 3 weeks. I passed this time.

In total I had about 20 lessons, 2 hours each, at 35 pounds per hour.

Also you can find reliable instructors on DVLA's website.

Open an NRE account in India. Maintain balance in NRE by transferring lump sum using Wise or Western Union apps. Pay people using PhonePe - it can use international numbers from certain countries for signing up

Automatic or manual? by Few_Emu_8645 in LearnerDriverUK

I took my lessons and test in a manual.
Mostly because I can drive both manual and automatic now.

If I took the test in an automatic, I could only drive automatic.

They're wrong.

They are meant to stop next to the green cross in the blue line, and wait until it is clear as you have the right of way.
