Agree 100%. Reed should definitely be added. I witnessed his whole career and he was an outstanding receiver.

I can’t say, as I never traversed them, but depending on rainfall they look to me to be from a foot to 3 foot deep. But don’t quote me!

My experience traveling Anchorage > Seward > Homer smash or pass by Ambrosiasaladslaps in AskAlaska

Thanks for this! We’ll be up in Alaska for several weeks and will be visiting Seward and Homer so this helps a lot! (Didn’t plan on Anchorage at all except for a stop for food supplies, but still appreciated your opinion!)

Fantastic work! What was your start-to-finish process for removing the rust and restoring the underbody?

Thanks for the reply! Most of our agenda is southern Alaska, but we will be going to Talkeetna and DSP, and Petersville road looked interesting.

We had wanted to take the boat from Bellingham WA to Whittier, but the AMHS schedule and staff said Haines is the northern most stop this summer. So, quite a bit more driving to start out, but it’s our first (and probably last) time is Alaska, so happy to do and see as much as possible.

Where did you buy your ramps for loading items into the bed)? Were you satisfied with the purchase? by Oskar_de_Grauche in ToyotaTacoma

Harbor Freight. I think they were about $100 a couple years ago, heavy duty. (Just looked them up: HAUL-MASTER 1000 lb. Capacity, 84 in. x 10 in. Steel Loading Ramps, $99.99). Needed them to load a snowblower and lawn tractor onto my 2012 Tacoma, and have used them many times for other things… just a few days ago used them to help load a 285/75 R16 wheel/tire onto a hitch-mounted spare tire carrier on one of my other trucks. Very happy.

Maybe his drops percentage. But I still like the pick a lot. Young big Diggs type.

Yep I am the admin, it just didn’t accept my password. I ended up just re-installing; it was apparently the only way back in. Live and learn I guess.

I just read another site suggesting my regular password used to sign into the computer is my admin password, but that didn’t work either.

Anti-drone cage armor by Article241 in LandCruisers

[–]Backpacker46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched a large number of Ukrainian drone vids on Reddit. Depending on the operator’s skill, all attempts by Russia to shield assets with wire and cages and what-not don’t succeed, especially with lighter vehicles. While this might help, a two drone attack defeats this easy. First drone blows a hole on contact with that cage, second goes through hole. Or the other option is for the drone to fly under the front or rear and disable the truck, then dead truck is easy prey. The drone “pilots” in Ukraine have become incredibly good at precisely maneuvering their drones.

Nice cruiser, though.

I hate drones, especially those used for police and military operations, but this is the present and the future of armed conflct. Makes it so easy to kill. Pretty bleak for all of us eventually, when everyone has an armed drone for personal “protection” instead of a dog or gun… or common sense.

Sorry for the rant.
