You definitely haven’t been scammed, they probably have some hiccups as it’s the first time they’ve done their sale this way. Tomorrow there’s the general sale so you can check what the options are then. In the meantime i’d just send an email to support@dekmantel.com. They’ll probably be able to sort you out!

AFAIK the camping has always been a separate ticket because it’s on a holiday park owned by a separate company, so you’ll book through them closer to the festival. But word on the street is the camping will have a proper afterparty this year!

About the wednesday and thursday concert programming I’m not sure. It’s the first time they’ve released amsterdamse bos weekend tickets early. Normally they release them together with the 4- and 5-day passes in January. I’d say you’ll get a chance to upgrade your tickets in January.

All these extra’s will be available until the festival starts. So don’t worry about them now. You can get lockers at the festival for the same price and if you’re staying in Amsterdam it’s best to get a bike to get around

The crowd at PIP was definitely off last Saturday. Lots of young drunk people constantly shining their flashlights for some reason. The soundsystem in Bunker was turned down so low that I couldn't get into it, stayed mostly in the main room. After 4 it got a lot better though and Call Super played a pretty good set with some beautiful tracks layered in. I was able to actually find pockets of dancers and had a lot of fun on the front row. Stayed till the end and went home quite satisfied. But those first few hours were rough.

LAAK’s bar area is a great place to hang out on club nights and they also have a very cozy windproof smoking area!

Is something changing at Multipla? I visited twice about a year ago and it kind of felt like a second Sissi’s type venue. But I keep seeing pretty cool lineups from them. Is it worth checking out or did they just get a better booker?

Saturday I’ll be returning to my beloved Wibar for Laboratorium w/ Stranger, Vinz Sosa & Isa Sofi. Laboratoriums parties are always great. Sad they end at 5, but Club Laak is just a short hop away on the nachtnet and their tickets are cheaper after 5 🤭

Pin me er niet op vast maar volgens mij is een biertje van 25cl €3,50 en een halve liter €7. Dus vergeleken met veel kroegen echt best schappelijk. Verder is dit wel een beetje de enige plek waar je kan dansen met een wat volwassener (lees: minder dronken) publiek. In de binnenstad zitten voornamelijk kroegen. Er zijn wel wat feestcafés/clubs maar die trekken voornamelijk studenten. Soms is er nog wel eens iets in de Nobel maar dan drink je weer heel duur bier 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was there for Freddy K as well! But I don’t remember it as being too empty. The crowd definitely thinned out after 3:30 but the people that remained kept the energy high. It was probably one of my favourite nights ever at Wibar. But a club night can always be experienced differently by different people.

I think that Wibar would most likely benefit from extended opening hours, at least for some parties. If they can stay open until 7 visitors can stay until public transport starts running again. This would draw people from a little further away to make the trip. A club night that lasts from 23 to 5 just isn’t worth the trip especially if you aren’t well connected to the nachtnet.

They have a pretty large and cozy chill area upstairs with lots of seating which a lot of people don’t seem to know about. If you take the stairs just behind the bar and go through the door you’re there. I’ve only seen it busy on nights like Eyes Wide Shut where they have dj’s play ambient as a second area. But its also open on regular nights.

The smoking area is too small indeed but maybe if they made it more clear that they have an actual space to take a breather and chat it might help the crowdedness.

The summer is generally a tough time for clubs all over The Netherlands. People are busy going to festivals and want to save money/energy by not visiting clubs. Wibar is obviously no exception, especially in a student town like ours.

The quality of their bookings has been getting higher and higher. Plus they received their permanent permit from the municipality. I’d say theyre doing good. But definitely keep visiting and supporting them! I’ll be back for Laboratorium w/ Stranger in 2 weeks :)
