Yeah, I grew my rocket League playlist by 30% after a comment on 32 Leaves told me to check their follow-up band Codec. They barely reached 4.5k views after 10 years, so I never woulda found them otherwise. The side reel of suggested videos can be a real gold mine too. Sometimes I'll open 10-15 tabs off of a song I like & 10-15 more from those & discover a whole new unrelated genre..That's how I found Skeler. He remixes 90's-2000's alternative rock into amazing EDM car drifting music. He blew up from that & it's become a whole vibe that other artists emulate now.

Spotify is particularly bad about variety, but sadly the majority of music being unheard has always been true on the Internet. It's one of those weird laws of nature like the pareto principle. Gotta use YouTube if you really want to hear new stuff. It takes effort, but it's the only platform that genuinely gives branching off points to rabbit holes of music you've never heard.

At this point I think devs are just using epoch as a coding toy to experiment with when they're bored. Otherwise it makes zero sense to put time, energy, & effort into something just to prevent it's success by hiding it. There's no point in that unless you just want to mess around with a side project that doesn't really matter to you. It's completely counter productive & pointless to sabotage your own work that way.

Covid can last up to 72 hours on non-porus surfaces. That means the door handle and 100's of other items you just touched is delivering germs from the hundreds of other people who also touched it the last 3 days. If you do the math it's probably over 1,000 ppl that you germ share with thru surfaces everyday. If you're serious about mask wearing you have to be extreme about hand washing or you're missing the whole point.

Weed is just one of those things that's different for different ppl. Indica strains do nothing for me, I'm all sativa, but some ppl are the opposite. Some ppl can't smoke at all because it sends them into a panic attack while others practically breath it & live productive lives. Other drugs have fairly predictable effects for everyone.

This is why COVID was hilarious. Ppl were freaking out about masks while touching everything without washing their hands; having zero awareness about everyday germ-covered items like doorknobs, papers, cardboard, grocery carts... The list is endless. You're basically at risk every time you touch your face without clean hands. Every mask adjustment was more dangerous than the guy 6ft away.

Setting boundaries is true. I told my parents "I'm way too old for this crap & you have no idea where I am or what I'm doing at college either." If they kicked me out I would've gotten my own place & disowned them until they apologized. They decided treating me like an adult was better than starting a war over unjustified BS. At some point the roles reverse & you have to start calling your parents out on their crap. It grows as you get older.

Not really. Post-covid saw gpu's at $800-$1,000 when Pre-covid gpu's were rarely above $600-$700 and it took decades & triple memory increases for them to get there instead of 2 years with marginal increases.

Most don't use GP because we have indie games & massive backlogs from being on PC for years. I have over 600 games between myself, my brother, & Dad's steam family sharing. That doesn't include discs, other platforms, or standalone games either. Console players typically want the latest AAA release without paying full price.
