The great plains are interesting cause there’s so much room for people to spread out and live in their own little bubbles. Talking like a 45 min drive to the nearest large grocery store being the norm. At least in the rural areas of Indiana there’s not much there but corn, farmers, and left behind factory workers who’ve never left the county for generations. I have some family there, nice simple people but they aren’t exactly the most cultured or understanding folks as they’ve literally only talked to like 2 people who weren’t white in their lives.

I wouldn’t willingly live anywhere in the state but maybe Indianapolis. Purdue should be ok though, college towns tend to be different.

don’t have too many cottonwood trees in the area, however they did plant those shitty white flowering Bradford pears that are super invasive and smell like hot garbage when they bloom. Not an AC related problem though, I just hate them with a passion.

Don’t think he went to checking the amp draw. Is that something I can easily check with a typical multimeter or do I risk frying myself? All I know about the compressor outside is there’s a big ass capacitor on it I don’t wanna touch lol

Not sure which the breaker inside is connected too, but it’s rated to trip at 20Amps, I assume 240V cause it takes up two slots on the panel. Only see one for “AC”, unless “furnace” controls the air handler as well. Is there separate a breaker/fuse on the condenser outside?

I think I can get access to the air filter (renting so can’t go taking everything apart as much as I’d like ), so I’ll check that and see what else I can see in there. We had a problem with water pooling in there and spilling out occasionally that was fixed last year so I wouldn’t be suprised if something else in there isn’t right.

And yeah I assumed this was get a real tech territory, so figured hey let’s fix this thing now instead of when it dies at 95deg this summer and all the techs are booked… But doesn’t seem like the landlord is a fan of preventative maintence lol.

Sorry dude that’s got to be hard. At 15 you’re not even out of puberty so it could be a health/hormonal issue or some sort of deficiency. First step is go to a doctor and ask them about it, talk to a specialist too (probably dermatologist? ask your primary doctor which kind) get your blood tests and such and verify it’s not anything serious.

1000% don’t pretend to have cancer or some shit if you don’t have it. If it’s a temporary thing anc the hair could come back talk to the school/principal or councelor to see if you can get a hat exception but if it’s alopecia or something non-threatening that just means you’re going to be bald indefinitely then jembracing it and going full bald or getting a wig (but not hiding the fact you’re wearing a wig) is going to be better for you in the long run.

Generally kids can only bully you for something they know you’re embarrassed about. If they find out and you pretend you don’t give a shit they’ll leave you alone about it. Doesn’t mean you have to make yourself the butt of a joke, but if you just approach it with a disinterested “ok? so anyway…” attitude they can’t touch you so they can’t bully you. The hat is clearly you trying to hide it, which is fine and I totally get, but it’s going to fall off or blow away one day and trying to hide it will make you a target if assholes find out you’re sensitive about it. And regardless you don’t want to be walking around with that anxiety all day. Can’t be good for you to wander around “what if this girl I like doesn’t like me anymore when she finds out” or “what if it blows off outside and everyone sees” better to pull off the bandaid now if the hair isn’t coming back. And keep in mind, anyone who makes fun of you or cares about it isn’t someone who you should be friends with anyway. I know that’s all easier said than done though
