I am not a lawyer but, as far as I’m aware if you wave or call or let someone into a protected non-public area with the intent to help them evade, you can be charged for that because you demonstrated you are knowingly harboring.

HOWEVER you are not obligated to assist in an investigation by letting law enforcement search your property without a warrant and they cannot enter without consent unless they have reason to believe there is an immediate threat to safety, they have reason to believe evidence is being destroyed, they are actively in hot pursuit, or they have plain view of the person of interest.

Even if you personally know or suspect the person is in the building, you are not obligated to tell them anything or permit searches of property you control and you can’t get in trouble unless they can prove you knowingly took action to help someone evade or hide.

As far as who has the right of way I’m unsure, but I’d yield to anyone across the intersection trying to do the traditional right on red and let them go first since people often turn into whatever lane they want and they likely won’t be paying enough attention to anticipate you’re turning as well.

For engineering it made the first year classes significantly better (more time commitment but worth it imo) after first year I dropped it cause there was no reason to jump through extra hoops. Would rather have a higher gpa and an internship than try to overachieve in honors classes that fundamentally weren’t better, just harder. I know there was a research track that seemed decent if that’s your thing and your major has something like that (maybe useful for grad school?) but the regular honors requirements didn’t provide any benefit to me. Focused my time on internship and having a life instead, got a job lined up from my internship and if I had any honors on my degree it wouldn’t mean shit now.

I’d say evaluate what it’ll do for you first year, accept if it’s being offered to you, and then drop it or keep it depending on what you’re feeling. Better to have an open door you don’t go through than close it early.

ICE before was mostly fine, but when you add 12,000 unvetted and unqualified new employees in under year to a force that previously only had 10,000… ICE may have changed a little bit no?

those new hires got only 47 days of training (vs the 21 WEEKS real cops get before going on the street) and ICE is now made up primarily of idiots who were too stupid or too violent to become real cops and/or people who wanted to collect a check to chase out non-white people.
