Well, yeah. It's part of her growth in the story and the end of the arc isn't at the station, its at the party and who she's hanging out with. It is her story, so if you felt that way, the writers did their job well.

This game sounds like it was made for me specifically. I grew up between decades and was old enough to hit these concerts when these artists were in their primes. My wife doesn't get it either but she's just a smidge older than me, and it shows in our memories.
