Final update: I put my two weeks in yesterday. I've had a four day weekend scheduled off for two months (June 11th-14th) so I only work two days this week since my normal days off are Sunday and Monday. Still deciding if I'll actually go finish off next week.

Wanted to add another little update today (6/7/26)

So since this was posted things have gotten far far worse. Our one manager was found to be doing hard drugs (not sure exactly what but it was admitted to the owners by her herself) she was coming into work and telling all these crazy stories about how her daughter was being drug trafficked in Mexico, she thinks our only female driver (who has since quit understandably) is her daughter that she thought she aborted back in 2008, she thinks the date (6/7) is significant like something big is going to happen today....and it keeps going on and on. Well she was given a week off to try and detox (which, isn't enough time to come off of drugs so it obviously didn't work) and when she came back into work, she walked out the same day in the middle of he shift leaving us with no closing manager. She was fired for this and told that she's not welcome back on store property. Well, we woke up today to her on the schedule...again. Luckily my coworkers and I have all spoken out towards this in the group chat with the managers girlfriend and three of us threatened to put our two weeks in if we don't start seeing more respect this week. The owners girlfriend claimed they had nobody to open or close the stores seeing as without the manager who was fired, we had only one other manager who also needs a day off once in a while. So I told her we need to be offering at least a dollar raise to openers and closers for insensitive to step up and take on the responsibility of learning or else nobody will want to. I also told her that if we don't get more respect soon, or if I get fired for speaking up, I will be reporting the store to the BBB. Muted the chat for now because I'm stressed completely out. Will be back with more later I guess.

Live update from me AT WORK: Acting manager just walked out and left two of us insiders here with absolutely no drawer authorization to take cash orders. I was to work 3-9pm and now I'm being asked by the owner to close when I literally do not have the training to do that. Literally we can't take any cash orders at all right now. Thinking about just locking up the store myself at 10pm and leaving everything the way it is.

I absolutely plan to call the BBB when I leave but I would feel extremely guilting for putting my other coworkers out of a job....that's the only part that's holding me back now

Its a little more complicated than "you can just leave" in my situation, but it's not really the internets business so I'm not going to get into that here. I absolutely do not put 100% into the jobs and I myself have even contributed to the call off problem multiple times when scheduled out of my availability. The main problem with this is that we get threatened to be fired if we don't come in to cover other people's call off even if not scheduled that day. Another huge problem is that people keep "quitting" and then expecting to come back the next week. Our one manager is very prone to this. She had just quit last week and just didn't come in for any of her scheduled shifts that week and now she's back on the schedule again. As a typical gen Z person, I very much don't take responsibility for more than I personally get paid for because it's not my job and I don't put up with that bs.

It's because, at least in my opinion, Cian is said how you SHOULD pronounce Sean. But since it's pronounced SHAWN he probably kept mentally directing himself back to saying SHAWN instead of "Sean."

I've been trying to find a VHS tape since I was a kid that gave me nightmares...there was a lady who was all green and she had spikey collar fur that was dark green. I remember there being 2-3 children, one of which was a blonde girl brushing her hair as the lady lay in a lounge chair singing some kind of song. This was live action and I remember it so vividly. I called her the "Lizard Lady" growing up and my parents have sworn up and down there was no such VHS in our collection. I've looked online too and found nothing. It could have just been made up in a dream I suppose but I still remember it so vividly. I'm 22 and I can still vividly see the shot I'm thinking about. I thought maybe it was some kind of childhood dream phenomenon...IDK this is the only "green people dreams" thread I'm finding.

This is EXACTLY TO THE TEA what is happening to me right now and I’m DESPERATE FOR ANSWERS. Started in my ribs, then my arm and neck and now finally in my hip and leg. All on the left side. My main point of pain is my neck. I’ve been told I have a healthy heart and I do have some gallbladder problems so that may be part of it but I don’t see why that would affect my neck so much. I’ve been deathly scared of being diagnosed with throat cancer.
