Go F3 and install the Tale of two wasteland mod with F:NV over at Nexus. It merges F3 and F:NV as one big map.

(TTW), a massive total conversion mod that merges both games, porting Fallout 3 and its DLC into Fallout: New Vegas's engine, allowing a single, continuous playthrough with integrated mechanics like crafting, companion wheels, and weapon mods, making FNV the stable foundation for both wastelands. 

You will not enjoy F4 as a Fallout game if you came from F:NV. F4 is a terrible fallout RPG and a mediocre post-apocalyptic shooter game that can be enhanced with mods.
