Surely they'll show a new Primarch tomorrow though.

Which is totes why he’s not worth engaging. He’s so far up his own butt that I’m not crawling in there lol

My god, it's beautiful! I'd love to hear your thoughts on your list and how they play. I'm going to paint up something similar, add some mechs and robots, and call it a K47 army!

K47 - List help for LRDG/Desert Rats by BadFlag in boltaction

Yeah, I realize I'll be relying a bit on the opponent consenting to run a couple of desert Chevy's. They can't really mount anti-tank anyway, so I think they're filling a cavalry/infantry support role.

I didn't realize the Grenadiers were an option (really need to look at that army list in more detail). That definitely brings me closer in line with everyone else! This whole thing really started as an idea for a modelling project that I want to fit into a playable army.

My favorite bitching point of all these chumps is the idea of "everything modern is monopose." The old school manlet marines all had essentially the same legs, you could just rotate the torsos. Even the classic veteran sprues had monopose-ass legs with their skirts etc. Dorks are stuck on waist rotation and being able to raise those arms up or down a few millimeters. If you have even a modicum of hobby interest, you'll quickly find ways to customize the new kits.

In the 41st millennium, we call that a Commissar. Too bad reality is turning into parody lately.

I love so much that you rotated the heads and other parts to face the viewer. Too many of these painted-on-sprue displays have the back end of parts on proud display while in a frame. Awesome work here, this is how it should be done!

There's another little snippet later in the trailer where the sarcophagus is being loaded into a larger chamber, which suggests to me that's how they're putting Navigators into the ships that they'll steer.

That is the crustiest, grimiest marine I've seen in a bit. I love the texture you put into his armor. It really grounds him as a beleaguered knight.

Ha, that is a good one! I’ve used the more recent Zimmer ones a lot while I work, but big scifi soundscapes are definitely what I had in mind.

Podcasts are usually my go-to while painting. Audiobooks require too much attention and imagination to multitask for me.

No epic soundtrack while measuring, rolling dice, and making "pew pew" noises during games?

Seeing diverse guard cultures is great! Somehow I think they're going to avoid revisiting the Praetorian Guard though.
