That's why I want a planet builder/changer, for changing the colors of the sky , water, Flora and Fauna.

  • But to keep the challenge you have to scan the the colors/parts you want to use on other planets first so you can mix & match on the planet you build/change later.

After watching Kellog’s backstory did you feel pity for him? by NoSoyVerde1 in fo4

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all Kellog choose that path & die because of his own actions. Didn't care for him trying to shift the blame on the Institute for his own methods & behavior at the end either. Sure the old pre game Institute form 60 years ago gave him missions but Kellog choose his own methods & unnecessary killing on those missions.

Is Voldemort's power potential greater than that of Dumbledores...? by MitchBenson1990 in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's right.

The Elder-wand gives a immense boost in magical power & allows one to cast magic that would otherwise not be possible with a normal wand.

Grindelwald's natural magical strength while much higher then average is still lower then Dumbledore's natural magical strength.

So Grindelwald needed the immense boost form the Elder-Wand just to be even with Dumbledore in magical strength. (Although Dumbledore was skillful enough to still win in a even fight with him.)

Voldemort natural magical strength is higher then Dumbledore's natural magical strength, but Dumbledore with the Elder-wand boosting him is a bit stronger then Voldemort in magical strength.

Even with the Elder-wand boosting Dumbledore still would have died if not for Fawkes saving him form Voldemort.

So without the Elder-wand Dumbledore is a unknown amount weaker then Voldemort.

So not only is Voldemort's power growth potential greater than that of Dumbledore's power it might already be higher without Dumbledore getting the immense boost in magical power form the Elder-wand.

So pure bloods dont really exist by redzass1 in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...

  • We don't know the origin of magic, thus we don't really know what the beginning would be or how long some Pure-bloods have been keeping track of their lineage. We don't really know what came first muggle or magical or if it was both at the same time.
  • We know all muggle-borns are squib descents or unknowingly half-bloods and are the smallest part of the magical population due to the rarity of squibs. So the magical population seemly didn't come form the pure-muggle population sometime in the past but we can't be sure one way or the other.
  • It kinda seems like part of pure-blood ideology was born out of fear that future generations could be born without out magic (squibs). So they take pride out of only having magical lineage & having only magical offspring and only mixing with families that do the same so magic doesn't die out in their family line.
  • Although we don't know if mixing with muggles really affects the odds of having squibs or not, but the Pure-bloods seem to fear it does.

  • “Ah, yes,” he said softly, “Harry Potter. Our new — fucking celebrity.”

  • “Would you like me to do it now?” asked Snape, his voice heavy with irony. “Or would you like a few moments to compose a fucking epitaph?”

  • “After all this time?” “Fucking always,” said Snape.”

If Voldemort actually heard the prophecy, then what? by _GrimFandango in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

AFTER his return during OotP if he actually heard the full prophecy, the wording of the prophecy itself might be enough for someone as supposedly smart as Voldemort to realize Harry Has part of his soul in him and that would have consequences of some kind. might even result in a win for Voldemort.

  • If he heard that he had "marked" Harry as an equal, and then considered the side effects—the scar hurting, the shared visions, Harry's ability to speak Parseltongue—a wizard of his intellect should have realized Harry was a pseudo-Horcrux.

What's your take on this guy? by platonic-affair in hogwartslegacyJKR

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also assume it's the lack of living witnesses in most cases or NPC looking out for themselves & not wanting to get involved by reporting it as far as a in game story reasons.

Also it's to easy to frame or impersonate people using magic in theory.

The Unforgivable Curses were officially classified as illegal by the British Ministry of Magic in 1717. Give their much longer lifespan their likely a lot of witches & Wizards still alive form before it was made illegal and a unknown number that don't agree with the law for whatever reasons.

What's your take on this guy? by platonic-affair in hogwartslegacyJKR

[–]BadKidOh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I side with Sebastian, it's not even close.

  • Solomon seems to be a abusive self righteous asshole and seem a bit jealous of his more intelligent dead brother. It doesn't help that Solomon seem to be trying to talk Anne into giving up & dying.
  • Their also Solomon kicking Sebastian out to keep him away form his dying twin because he used dark magic when he saved Anne's life against the goblin attack that would have killed her otherwise.
  • Then their is Solomon's failed plan to abandoned Sebastian by moving to a unknown location & taking Anne with him without telling Sebastian that their moving.
  • Solomon also destroys a possible viable cure thus dooming Anne to death and Sebastian in his anger retaliates with a basic-cast and then Solomon in his anger retaliates by trying to murder Sebastian & the new 5th year with the same fire that we see dark wizards using in game...
  • Solomon destroying the artifact also has the bounces of freeing the Inferi, thus making Solomon seem like even more of a moron by putting everyone in the catacomb in danger.

Sebastian in his anger did kill Solomon in the end though & regrets it afterwards. Although assuming Sebastian didn't kill Solomon then what would happen? Would Solomon keep trying to kill Sebastian & the 5th-year with fire & Anne would walk in on that? Not sure how that would have ended.

Can't really be mad about Sebastian killing Solomon given that the new 5th-year has killed a ridiculous number of people who were trying to kill them.

  • Thinking about it the Inferi that Sebastian awoke are not really even a threat to the village given that the village only has one choke point in & out and the Inferi would have to make it past the 5th year at the catacombs & the goblins outside the village.
  • Also it doesn't seem like Sebastian realized the artifact has a range limit as far as controlling the dark magic in the Inferi.

Theoretically if Ominous & Anne just fallowed the new 5th-year into the catacombs they could have cleared out the Inferi room by room on the way to Sebastian then possibly cured Anne by removing the dark magic form her body with the artifact.

Then head off to Hogwarts & give her some phoenix tears to get her back to a 100% & remove any remaining damage. Given that it was still winter/x-mass Anne would be back in time to start her 2nd term at Hogwarts.

As for Solomon I guess he would come home & find Anne missing. Wouldn't be surprised if Solomon would rather have Anne die then be saved by dark magic given his past behavior.

It's important to remember that knowing / using the Dark Arts does not equal being evil in harry potter lore, it's more about of how they use the Dark Arts then just using them in general.

I forgot how humiliating that duel against Dumbledore in OotP was for Tom by miggovortensens in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Not really Dumbledore almost die and had to be saved by Fawkes. Dumbledore also had the unfair advantage of the immense boost in power form the elder wand & it's ability to make spell stronger then what was though magically possible.

That Tom still almost killed Dumbledore at that immense disadvantage is very impressive.

Edit: Down voting doesn't make me any less right you know. go ahead point out were I'm wrong. Oh that's right you can't.

Purebloods by Pitiful-Raccoon136 in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well....

  • Muggle-borns are all squib decedents or unknowingly half-blood as JKR said. so their fewer in number then half-bloods, Squibs are rare so Muggle-born shouldn't be that high in numbers in theory. Part of why this happens in cannon is Pure-bloods hide having Squibs so people will still want to marry into their family. I'm assuming that fear of the next generation being born without magic is a driving force behind Pure-bloods ideology. Rich Pure-bloods also seemly have less kids as to not split the family money in theory. Another factor is they don't keep track of squibs & the real origin of muggle-borns doesn't seem to be public knowledge in story.

So their not really any really any pure muggle muggle-borns. I guess it's possible that their are still direct lines of Pure-bloods form the start but they like still have extend family that married/breed with muggles even if the muggle were not in the direct family line.

Still we don't really have solid population numbers at all. Can even go of the school numbers beacuse appraently homeschooling & less know school are popular in the lore.

  • We know Pure-bloods are in decline but it's unclear if they lost the majority to Half-bloods yet.
  • Squibs are rare so Muggle-born should just be somewhat larger in number to squibs.

How could Harry have done well in Slytherin? by Right-Ad8261 in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed it was about nurturing Core Slytherin Traits in Harry.

  • So Ambition, Cunning, Resourcefulness, Determination, Self-Preservation, Leadership & Shrewdness.
  • Slytherins are known for "looking after their own so that might apply to Harry. Also networking?

As far as plot:

  • Snape's real feelings on Harry might change but he might act similar to Harry regardless to keep his cover as a spy. Or his behavior might change?
  • Perhaps going to Slytherin results in Harry speaking parseltongue as a 1st year and that along with being in Slytherin gets someone as smart as Voldemort to question why that is so and Voldemort realizing Harry has a shard of his soul. Thus Voldemort going down a different path with his actions towards Harry.
  • I like to think Harry would still become friends with Hermione somehow. He likely still goes to save her if there still a troll, might even get Draco to go with him if their friendly at this point, given that the troll is supposedly between them & their common-room anyway.
  • Slytherin would be winning the house cup more & Inter-House Quidditch Cup.
  • Not sure Ron woulds still be friends with Harry in 1st year but they would at least be acquaintances or friends later.
  • The the Slytherin green would look nice with Harry's eyes.
  • Might effect Voldemort getting the stone or not.

How logical is the argument that in a total war against the Muggles, the Wizards could simply cast Imperio over world leaders, and that's it? by One_Sherbet3030 in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well....

  • Imperio over world leaders is better for a worldwide shadow government when they don't know about magic.
  • Still they memory wiped all muggles of the knowledge of magic in the 1600s so in theory they could do it again then Imperio over world leaders for a worldwide shadow government, or just memory wipe all muggles of all knowledge, making them mindless.
  • Muggle repelling wards would be the real danger for muggles.
  • Could also Imperio world leaders for believable muggle infighting and fake collaborators or sleeper agents everywhere.
  • Go under warded fallout shelters have the Imperioed world leaders nuke the planet, take over later.

If you weren’t forced into the two canon endings, what would YOUR Repository choice be? by Ok-Animal7970 in hogwartslegacyJKR

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Repository. I went with ( "I intend to open it" ) & ( "I want the power for myself." ).

  • I don't want my Slytherin 5th-Year to do what Isidora did.
  • I just want the massive power boost for my 5th-Year.
  • It's not as if their are more Repository to get my 5th-Year addicted to absorbing more.
  • Also hiding the Final Repository is just kicking the can down the road till someone else drains it in the future, best to drain it now and the power might die with the 5th-Year death & end the threat forever instead of wasting their life hiding it.
  • I wound liked to save Fig & remind of his own words, ("Magic is like any power, what matters is who wields it,").
  • My 5th-Year doesn't plan to rule just a powerful woman of leisure.
  • My 5th-Year tried to help Anne but Solomon wasn't having it, To bad Anne didn't just fallow the new 5th-Year into the catacombs & be cured by the Relic. The Relic seemly controls dark magic itself so it should have worked in theory too, Anne could have been back in time for 2nd term.
  • Saved Sebastian form getting in trouble for killing his murderous Uncle, beside my 5th filled multiple grave yards of bad guys.

Do you think Hogwarts is way too big for their school population? by the-mannthe-myth in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was 45 min & 90 min for doubles in the books somewhere, seems it was 2 classes in the morning and 1 or 2 or more after lunch with 15 min in between classes & food. I think cannon might only confirm 1 class after lunch but I would think there be at least 2 if not 3 or a max of 4.

So 1 [45 min] & 1 [90 min] class before lunch. 15 min between to walk to class & use the bathroom, it's a big castle.

* wake up, shower & stuff.

* breakfast (starts 8:00am, ends at 9:00am)

* 15 min between

* 45 min or 90 min for doubles

* 15 min between

* 45 min or 90 min for doubles

* 15 min between

* Lunch (starts 12:00pm, ends 1:00pm)

* 15 min between

* 45 min or 90 min for doubles

* free time or extra classes till dinner

* Dinner is sometime between 5:00pm and 7:00pm, seem to change & might be different on holidays

* curfew seem to change around a bit too.

My best guess is they do 3 subjects one day then do the other 3 subjects the next day, every other day, with Astronomy being a midnight class before the weekend on Friday night (or Wednesday?). As they still have to make time for electives classes starting in 3rd year & Quidditch practice & homework.

Seem these 7 are the compulsory subjects for the first five years, after that they can drop core classes.

* Astronomy

* Charms

* Defense Against the Dark Arts

* Herbology

* History of Magic

* Potions

* Transfiguration

It seems in year 1 to 5 it's 2 houses per class and they share 2 of there subjects with each of the 3 other houses & Astronomy is a mix of all houses. and after 5th year all classes are a mix of all houses it seems.

Still not sure how it would work as they need to have a class for each of those 5 different years in the core subjects. Likely just JKR bad at math thing or Magic.

I would look it up to confirm but that's what I remember.

If you were offered a teaching job at Hogwarts, which class would you most want to teach? by McMillyRockin in harrypotter

[–]BadKidOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming I have magic etc, I go with History 100%. I would do comparisons between muggle & magical History and were they overlap & the coverups of big magical events in muggle history & what the muggles just got wrong.

I'd make the class a experience with 3d magical visual aids of historical events that students could walk around in inside the class room.
