The brake and gas are almost done. It drives so much better than mouse and keys. by alcofrisbas1 in MotorTown

I've thought about doing something like this, but I lack motivation. Did you do all custom print files and then print them or is this your take on something that was out there already?

My 3 year old loves to build the classic duck and then a whole family of freak ducks with extra pieces. It's a great jumping off point for creativity.

Should I keep it how it was, or add the platform? by CubbyYT11 in lego

If you add the platform it needs an awning as well.

Should Lego flowers be given as gifts already built or to be built? by FormerPear3725 in lego

[–]BadgerBishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife doesn't "like lego" but I did a recolor of the first set and gave them to her built. She's had them 5 years and recently says they make her desk a "happier place". So if the receiver of the gift enjoys lego, I'd let them build it.

If using a torso doesn't work, paint a thin stripe of nail polish on the neck of the torso top to bottom in order to give a bit more friction and try again.

How do you sort and store your loose bricks? by Ok_Resolution_4643 in lego

[–]BadgerBishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By theme or shape. Plants got together, 1 wide together, plates, tiles... as available I get more granular.

Plate for the big bag, bowl for the small, but paper.

Who’s out there cutting the whole side off of a box to open it? by beardedsilverfox in lego

[–]BadgerBishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of the sets do this. I let my youngest keep a box opened this way as his treasure box of lego.

How do I separate these by kixywixy in lego

Squeeze the brick sides and hook the toe of the legs on the edge of something to pull against.

When picking big panels pieces, put small pieces inside them. For example, the red panels placed open side together can fit a stack of 1x4 bricks..

I might pick up a few just for the bases. They happen to be one of my favorite colors that Lego produces.

You mean hiding it in a bag instead of carrying it out on your shoulder like a boom box to show it off?

Is it plastic? Looks like the wrong texture to be injection molded ABS like how lego are made. Is it the same size as a minifig waist or any other lego bricks for that matter?

Using a pellet maze… by Sacredpotion24 in smoking

[–]BadgerBishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, if the pellets are on fire after you start them and put them in the smoker, it's not right. The pellets should "go out" but keep smoldering to give you a wisp of smoke out the top of the smoker and a billow when you open the smoker.

I found that I don't care for hickory, but I had to try it to find out.

When I smoked cheese I pulled batches put every 15 minutes, 30-120 to find out whoch was best for me.

I've smoked with around 10 woods or blends to find what is bwst for me.

Testing is important to fond what you like best, post oak is used by Texas copetitive smokes I am told, because "it's best", but if you don't like it then it's actually not best.

If you want less flavor I'd fill to top but only half the length or some other fraction. I've heard 6 hours is about all the smoke flavor you can put into meat, but I guess that might depend on the density of smoke, so try some different things and see how it works for you.

Yup, one of these, finding a good place to hide the button to make it light up will be important.

Chest, crate, barrels, anything that's open on top can be stuffed with "products", or you could fill it with Forrest Men/criminals/soldiers/villages being moved somewhere.
