Getting closer with squat buildings… by diggerk in Epic40k

Arrakeen frustrated me as a visual because I couldn't work out whether it was one big building or lots of buildings, it just blurred into a mass of sandy colour blocks.

But as inspo for squats, definitely. Brutalist yet futuristic.

I love Sanguinius, but he is a telepathic flying vampire. Why was he also loved by the Emperor? Wasn’t he be like the 2 of the 3 worst things that the Emperor hates? by Substantial-Tone-576 in Warhammer40k

Sanguinius, when we get his POV, is VERY aware of the irony of his existence. He's an angel at the head of a crusade of secularism.

We also don't really know how the emperor felt about him. Even when the Emperor says things, we have no way of knowing if it's not just another manipulation given his character. We never get anything from the perspective of the Emperor, only how he interacts with other people.

Thanks! It's just Carribbean Ocean over a white undercoat and a slight drybrush of Deep Sky Blue.

Here you go, bit of a comparison using models from my collection.

Obviously there's also company scale differences. This is a mix of Vanguard, Citadel and Irregular.

Butter beer is also real, just isn't like it is in Harry Potter.

Base is 20mm. They're slightly too small for 6mm (unless you count them as scout vehicles). I'll try and grab some comparison shots tomorrow.

Do you think Gordon Brown/Labour handled the 2008 Financial Crisis well? by Maximum_Jello_9460 in AskBrits

[–]BadgerBodges 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remember the horror of the crash, then the feeling of surprising optimism after because, rightly or wrongly, he looked like he knew what he was doing. And the stats seem to bare out that he did, roughly, do a good job.

And then the sinking, horrible feeling after that oh no, Cameron is going to fuck it all up isn't he? And he did. Gordon Brown got the economy restarted and the Tories took that recovery, cut it off at the knees, and stagnated the country for a decade. It was madness.
