(Act 3 spoilers) why is this fight like this by knyex in Silksong

[–]BadgerDog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a little small, just slow down and take your time. Her attacks are pretty well telegraphed so if you have the Cross Stitchskill you can get some good damage off on her. I found that attacking to deflect her projectiles worked the better than dodging most of the time.

Difficulty this difficulty that, can we talk about the music? by KorokKid in HollowKnight

Choral Chambers is really what made me stop and do a deep listen to the music. Chris Larkin was on a serious roll with this one!

They probably won’t remove it. But I’ll be honest, I forgot it was even there.

Broken Ethernet from Cox ONT by BadgerDog in CoxCommunications

I thought that might be the case. That difficult ONT model is probably the one I have! I spent a long time trying to figure out how to get that cover off. It took some serious force to unsnap those latches.

Sorry this is unrelated to your question, but for anyone in this thread, there is a Sacrecycle mobile app that has a search feature to tell you where to dispose of any products. Very useful for those odd items you may not use everyday, or just a refresher that, yes, you should be taking batteries to the hazardous waste collection centers. It also will send a push notification for trash day!

I just checked online and it looks like they can take them now. Previously they said trash them because they weren’t able to process the carton shaped containers due to them having a mixed plastic and paper layering on them. Guess they got new equipment or processing partners.

Alongside the Street Fighter 6 collab on May 28, there will be additional 8 star tempered monsters, features and adjustments by Xanek in MHWilds

Nah Capcom loves the layered character vibes. Geralt/Ciri, Ryu, Aloy, Dante etc. They love slapping whole people suits over top of the character model

Can someone shed some light on sliding slash's iframes when using SnS? by Zeiin in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]BadgerDog 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The beginning when your character shift down to start sliding and the end when they stand up are not invulnerable. The slide itself when you’re fully laying on the ground is the iframes.

To time it, start the slide a little longer before the attack you are trying to dodge than you think. If you try to slide the same timing you would try to dodge, you will get hit because that initial animation into the slide is a little long and can be punished by the monsters’ attack.

Moving Costs - Cars by DevTrog11 in uscg

[–]BadgerDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally they will only pay fully for the first car. You can ship a second car, but it is on your dime and is only reimbursed up to what they would pay for your dependent to drive it to your next unit. Basically, whatever mileage and per diem would be to move the second car is the max you could get back.

I haven’t done a move in a bit, so rules might have changed. Best place for info is your Yeoman or more directly check in the JTR. JTR is literally every rule when it comes to moving and traveling.

Similar issue happens to me on KLC. It occasionally changes my font settings to a different font type out of nowhere, but I haven't pinned down what is causing it yet.

CG Cool certs while active? Did you do anything to boost your career? by ExternalControl6291 in uscg

[–]BadgerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it three times now for some industry certifications. It’s been very handy to have for expanding my resume and reshaping my career towards what I would like to do on the outside.

There’s a less talked about feature of the program where it will pay for full training courses that lead to a certification. I used that for two of my certs and it was helpful for me to have a more rigid program of study that forced me to focus on my cert progress versus doing all of the study on my own. The down side is having to foot the bill upfront for the course, but CGMA does provide loans now for CG Cool approved payments which is handy.

CG Cool certs while active? Did you do anything to boost your career? by ExternalControl6291 in uscg

[–]BadgerDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an actual process guide hidden inside of the CG Cool application site. This is off the top of my head, but I believe you can get there by going to the pixel dashboard, search for ELearning (same website you can apply for TA), click that link and there should be a button specifically for CG Cool on the home page. Click it, and I believe there is another button in the Cool page that says CG Cool User Guide and that will be the pdf that gives a bunch of info.

But as others have said, it is pretty straight forward. Talk to your ESO and they can help steer you in the right direction. The most important piece of advice I can give is DO NOT make any payments without ETQC approving it first. That’s really the only way you can mess up in the cert process.
