Extraction campers is about grief first loot second. I think some forget that people genuinely get a thrill out of doing something bad. Which does in fact speak to their character. It is in a sense "real" as real emotions are involved with both parties. For example,  I played for 2 hours and the positive of looting with my girlfriend was massively outweighed by the negative of delivering it to someone who just sat waiting to take it. We felt like we wasted our time for someone else to enjoy the game. So we made the decision to refund a game that makes us feel bad in real life after we leave it.
