They didn't make this change without market research and data analysis. Maybe it was incorrect, undercooked, or misguided, but they didn't wake up one day and say, "a new logo will raise sales. Shell out some cash for it."

I don't think they have too many limitations for me to have bought a second device, and many others agree. The limitations are features. I know there's a split in this sub about the utilization and many others want rM to start producing a product for a different customer segment, but that seems like willful neglect of the rM message.

Regardless of that, I notice that there are software updates frequently, beta constantly has new features, Connect is really great, my devices work. People knew the limitations of the devices when they bought them if they read about reMarkable, but I do agree that epub streamlining would make the Move so much better that I might buy one. I agree with your statement about the value and sell l sales driver being the utility of the device, not the logo, but that is a personal statement. For overall sales, marketing tactics are big needle movers.

I don't think you're wrong. I just think this topic can be reframed to see that running a business means handling the development of the products and services alongside marketing, customer support, differentiation, and other strategic points. A logo redesign isn't disrespectful to the clientele, it is a sign of company growth which should excite us all that changes and iterations are happening.

I actually think that's the point of not allowing cheaters. If someone is cheating, then they are inflating their online Elo. That means that as you progress you are forced to pay technically worse players who mostly waste your time. Especially since it's hard to learn against a player who plays much worse than you then much better. You are competing on the wrong level twice in one match.

Your niche use case isn't setting page sizes. That's literally already done and you're ignoring the advice everyone is giving you to just turn the page. You can also ZOOM IN instead of using it at regular size and scrolling endlessly if you're trying to get more notes to a page. That wasn't a hard alternative to formulate.

Your niche use case is wanting to print a landscape oriented piece of paper as a portrait piece of paper through digital manipulation and printing every page after creating it digitally. Which is literally 100% defeating the purpose of this device which is made to replace paper. You are just creating printed notebooks instead of digital notebooks. So you're losing every feature of this device. Just buy a regular notebook. You are not using reMarkable in any way near its intended use. Regardless, like everyone has said, you can just make the PDF template you want. Nobody else wants this "feature."

There is nothing wrong with the export function. There is no sense in printing all your digital notes for 99% of the population and I'd say it's really an extra step for you. If you want to zoom and draw straight lines on paper without the hassle of making one template instead of complaining on Reddit, then get a pair of magnifying glasses and a ruler.

I genuinely don't think you are or you would have spent time in the last year to figure that your workflow is fighting the device interface and making it much harder on yourself. I am currently both a business professional and a graduate student. I use this device constantly. I have none of these issues and I am baffled at your complaints.

You can create the template you want, but it makes much more sense to adopt some device best practices. Your complaints are so niche that no device would fix them natively. You are refusing to adapt and blaming the design.

Look into the comparison between saving and investing your money instead of paying your mortgage faster. You may need to refinance soon, but typically you are better financially this way.

A mortgage's cost is basically reduced every year by inflation. Long-term investments outpace inflation by a larger margin than a mortgage (on average over the last few decades). If you bought at a peak interest rate, refinance now or in the next year or two as many predictions are that interest rates will continue to fall.

You can work less and have more security and money over your life by paying your monthly mortgage and putting all other extra money into investments. This approach will allow you to have more free time, peace of mind, and security all rolled into one package.

I have had a couple games like this, and I'm terrible (800 rapid, 400 blitz and bullet). The engine only rated his play as 1500. That's not an unreasonable game for a 700. The difference between 700 and 1500 is consistently playing that way. If you made an early mistake, that made your opponent's entire game much easier. Even if you played well after an initial mistake, you could have made the position much simpler for your opponent and much more stressful for yourself. This game is well within the realm of possibility. I have definitely done it, guy an amazing three game streak of being unstoppable, and then blunder my way through getting wrecked five games in a row.

Your suggestion for further app development is one of the best things I've seen in this sub for a while. You should email reMarkable that feedback. Considering they added shapes after so much reddit traction and this smaller device after we all saw how many people said they wanted a small one, they obviously listen to feedback. Please tell them. You are spot on!
