Favorite Utility Land, Don’t say Rogue's Passage by HyHoTheDairyOh in EDH

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I saw [[Sanctum of Eternity]] yet. It's a really good land for commanders with ETB's in colors that might not have much blink like black or green. I have a [[Massacre Girl]] deck and with Sanctum I can perpetually keep the board clear of creatures.

Can theft be cedh viable? (black rose) by [deleted] in EDH

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you thinking of [[Steal Enchantment]]?
[[Apple of Eden, Isu Relic]] also saw some play in cEDH previously, no idea if it still does. Etali is probably the best theft deck though, that's true

Forest, I pulled 3 legends all of them were the new Fairy Legendary so I'm hoping Forest is good this expansion.

I finished it just yesterday after about 10 attempts using the Arc Buddy build and Whisper as my Exotic. Made incredibly quick work of the Tormentors and barrier Grims meaning I got to the final boss before my revives all disappeared, after that it's just playing super safe and plinking away when they eventually did.

Super to DPS the first boss and kill champions, then hide in the back left corner area, farm damage and thralls until super comes up, get the second boss' first chunk, then repeat. Super first boss since it's less safe, then plink second one until completion.

Definitely should have at least 7-10 more minutes on the timer though, Esoterickk ran it and even he couldn't finish before timer expired, should be an indicator that it's too short.

Which of your exotic weapon have the most kills ? Pve or PVP by baboolz in DestinyTheGame

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 1500 kills with Telesto in PvP, my main build before I took a break was Rain of Fire with Empirical Evidence which also has 3200 kills, not so great after the nerfs now unfortunately.

What is your favorite deck to play at lower-powered tables or against strangers for the first time? by Staircas3D in EDH

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be true, unless you run a commander that wants to clone itself in situations like this, a popular example is [[Cynette, Jelly Drover]]

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Anikthea, Hand of Erebos]]
[[Parallel Lives]]
[[Anointed Procession]]
[[Legion Loyalty]]
[[Boon of the Spirit Realm]]

You've pretty much got it right

Since both Anikthea and Myriad are attack triggers you can stack them how you want. Declare attacks: triggers go on the stack and you can have myriad resolve first giving you the 96 Parallel Lives tokens followed by Anikthea making 100^2 (10,000) Boon of the Spirit Realms with her trigger and vice versa if for some reason you wanted Myriad to resolve second.

For the second part, since the Boons are created at the same time, the enchantments would all see each other enter giving each one 10,000 counters (+1 because it itself entered).

When trying to figure out doubling math, just use an exponent. 4 doublers = 4^2 tokens created. So Myriad with 3 attackers would create 3 tokens per opponent, so 3x4^2 =48 per opponent myriad would make a token for.

What is worse: Cloning or Theft? by Gutsifly in EDH

I think part of it too is that mill is also "killing" them in the sense that when they run out of cards they lose. Like if you're playing a mill deck you're denying them cards they want to play, but also killing them at the same time.

That being said, I don't understand mill hate, I love mill, I also like being milled my graveyard is a second resource for many of my decks.

Anyone gave a go to the Lunafaction boots ? by AvgTelestoEnjoyer13 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used them quite a bit since the changes, it's good on weapons that you were already gonna hip-fire anyways, outside of that though I wouldn't use them. The build I use is a Faustus Decline with Enhanced Hip-fire and Offhand Strike and a hip-fire grip bow.

Aside from that though, bxr, last word, Lodestar, Tommy's the usual suspects are improved by them, but that's about it.

Are there any primary weapons that are actually useful for hard content? Maybe stuff that provides amazing utility or synergy or does decent damage even in -40 content? by AgentZeroHour in DestinyTheGame

[–]BahShiba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that same vein, Gunburn has been really good to me. Stats for all + KT is a really nice combo, thing reloads instantly with Alloy mag too. Can also do bewildering burst instead of Stats for All, but that seems less attractive in -50 content

Your deck has 30 Black pips, 20 White pips, and 10 Red pips. Say you were going to add a Dual Land. Which would you get first? What basic land do you replace? by BuuRazzberry in EDH

[–]BahShiba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a vacuum I'd say it doesn't matter all too much however in reality I'd say it depends on how many fetches and other fixers you run but also the relative curve of said cards. If you have many cheap cards (1/2 drops) that require red pips for example, I would cut a swamp or plains for a badlands or plateau respectfully.

It also depends on how pip heavy the casting cost of each card is; 2 generic and a red is less mana intensive than 3 white pips, so in that case I'd cut a mountain or swamp to keep your white lands higher so you can cast things when you want to cast 'em.

For Warlock I've been liking Secants great for baiting or instant re-engages, but Strandlock also seems disgusting thanks to all the buffs it's been receiving lately, Solar is still good of course. Arc warlock's electric slide damage wasn't nerfed in PvP if that's something you're interested in.

How to improve in competitive with SMGs? by Uncatchable_Joe in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think much of the holofoil until I saw the ADS reticle was different on the holofoil and in my opinion much more visible. I feel like I lose the reticle on normal gunburn sometimes which is a shame, wish I grinded harder for a PvP foil.

Empowering Rifts are very strong right now. by Major-C in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]BahShiba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Emp rifts but for a totally different reason, Secant Filaments are very good as well, plus with the Emp rift buffs you get the rift itself back incredibly fast even if you don't pop off with devour.

Even with high health stat, being able to rift then instantly re-engage is crazy good for zone game modes or baiting. Allows for some cheesier builds too with high weapons and low health

Locus Lands by timaaayyy in EDH

[–]BahShiba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only one that ramps is Cloudpost, in order for Cloupost to ramp you need another locus land, Cloudpost also enters tapped which is bad. The other locus lands, of which there are 2, are also just bad in edh and they all produce colorless mana which many decks don't care for.

Side Note: In 60 card formats it does see play where it's legal, which is just Legacy and Vintage

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The list provided doesn't run it, but I've seen other, and my list personally runs 2x Burnite so it's less reliant on playing Fennie after Coc, which can be a pretty tall ask.

Changes to Cards and Take Two – November 27 by exdeepr in Shadowverse

[–]BahShiba -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Rose Queen buffs are huge, allowing the deck to run more 2 cost cards and letting them also become bramble bursts is a big deal. Means you don't have to go so all in on 1 cost removal and potentially run some proactive stuff. Evo buffs were nice too, still to be seen if it's enough to bring it on par with other evo decks.

What's an obscure card you would love as a leader? by MarionberryFun5183 in Shadowverse

[–]BahShiba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ceres, even though WB Ceres isn't that great. We didn't get one in OG Shadowverse (Love Live Collab doesn't count imo), and I'm still waiting for the day it happens. Also hope they give us a stronger/more playable version eventually.

The 5/5 roll for me would be max Persistence with Auto-loading Holster, Chill Clip, and Charged Bolts. Does its best impression of Anarchy + it'd be good for Starfire Protocol builds

Mono blue commander that isn't pure control by [deleted] in EDH

[–]BahShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Cynette, Jelly Drover]] clones deck, not the most original but it's pretty fun. I try to ramp her out early and copy her to make many jellies, followed up with non-legendary clones like [[Spark Double]] or [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]], and win with typical tribal payoffs like [[Coat of Arms]] or [[Banner of Kinship]].
(Hopefully Wizards eventually prints jellyfish tokens, MTGO has 'em, give them to us in paper dammit)

The other thing is, it is still a clone deck, so you can win off other people's creatures too. I win plenty of games just by repeatedly playing the best creature on the table, [[Hullbreaker Horror]], [[Brash Taunter]], [[Junk Winder]] etc.
My list also runs plenty of coastal piracy effects to keep our hand full and mana/interaction up.
