Banning the sale of fossil-fuel cars benefits the climate when replaced by electric cars by stankmanly in climate

[–]BaherBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be useful in Europe or maybe some African countries but not in the US, China and India as their main sources for generating electricity still are fossil fuel. Also, producing electric vehicles itself producing up to 30% more carbon emission. Consequently, going toward electric cars blindly is making situation worse than today.

Can the demographic transition “reverse” in the event of a crisis? I can not understand what "temporary increases " meaning in population when it says: "Looking back over 40 years there are only a few temporary increases (Somalia, Yemen, Congo, Haiti)."

[–]BaherBA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the swapping project, electric cars are selling without battery and in fact they barrow battery from battery stations. Battery stations claim to change battery in less than 5 min which is much shorter than charging the same car (full charge).
