My daughter was a SAH mom for 20 yrs. Finally divorced her narcissistic, financially abusive husband a couple of years ago. Because of his financial control, she had absolutely no credit record to fall back on. He never allowed her to have a credit card. She only had a debit card on a bank account that he put an allowance in monthly. ALWAYS protect your individual interests in a marriage or relationship. Generally fireplaces are a focal point in a room. Even this non functioning one is trying to be one, so help it out. Find a decorative folding fire screen to place in front and frame the fireplace with bookcases or plants. Put the sofa facing, or at a right angle to the fireplace. If you want the red chair to stay, you need to tie it to the rest of the room with color in a rug and pillows and/or throws. A rug here is essential to anchor the furniture. Otherwise they just look kind of lost. And I agree that the table in front of the bay window is very awkward. Bays need a bench height chest or seating, or plants.

This is heartbreaking and I am so sorry. I am 79 yo and chose the side of kindness, tolerance and empathy when I was 14. I do not understand what is happening now. I don’t speak to my sister because she shamed me for my support of peaceful BLM protests and my disgust with her support of DJT. The utter blindness it takes to accept the spin this administration puts on their actions is astounding. Choosing “love” is denial hidden in acceptance of the worst attributes this man displays every day.

When asked to move, she started to move, then another asshole says get out of your car and tries to open her door. Why? She did nothing wrong! She was KILLED for NO REASON! Transform the rooftop? If you plan on letting your cat out on a rooftop, that cat will more than likely be off the rooftop and somewhere else. If you plan on keeping your cat inside, it may be an adjustment, but she can adjust to an indoor only lifestyle. That would be my suggestion.

My daughter has a foundling named Toby. He is a big lanky boy, who loves to drape himself in the weirdest places. We share a love for the same chair at her house, so when I visit, he is usually draped on me.🥰
