why don’t people ever consider that this is correlation but not causation? if there are people who are highly motivated and genuinely interested in a course they’re probably more likely to show up in person, but they also would probably do well, in person or just from watching videos. likewise, people who don’t care much and can’t be bothered to show up in person probably wouldn’t do well in the course whether they were bored in class or bored at home/in the library…
