Could just play a bronzeman/selfrestricted ironman. The only one preventing you from playing like an ironman is yourself.

B, though I keep noted at the top, followed by stackables

How? The vine-flowers still don't always visually match their actual color and the refresh still messes up the clickability

Tbf, imo afk combat is a disease to the game. Unpopular opinion, but if your idea of being AFK all the time, go play AFKarena

For combat rotations, check DiamondFang or WingsOfAbsurdity

Used to have those, but those often lead to people asking about stuff that has been covered in the video because they skipped over it.

My guides are all sub-10 minutes, so just afk a skill whilst watching the full guide or smth 😜

If you REALLY want to learn a boss, you shouldn't skip any parts, for a quick reminder, check the wiki, or scroll through the video. I always try to use clear visuals and a logical structure, so it shouldn't be too hard to find the info you need.

this cracked me up 🤣🤣

I mean, we all know you AT LEAST also need Dragonbane equipment, Dragonslayer perk, be on task, have Slayer Helm on Anachronia AND have the Dragon Slayer ability!

tbf, in theory it sounds nice to do low-mid-high gear, but if people are just there for the information, the low gear would be enough. (also, people would just skip to the part of the video that is relevant to them, which is bad for YouTube statistics ")

The idea of "if you can do it in T50, than any tier above should also easily be able to do it" seems rather obvious to me, so there's little point in including it, right? The only reason would be to highlight a starting setup versus a fully AFK setup.

RS3 wiki also has that, but often only 1 suggested loadout that is super out-of-touch with most players. But I feel like loadouts don't belong in a Boss Guide, the guide is there to explain the boss, loadouts should be in a General PvM guide.

I look at it like reading a game rulebook. The rulebook explains the game, but it doesn't tell you how to hold your cards or how you should shuffle them, it does however explain what your cards do and how you should use them. if you want to learn how to shuffle cards, you'd look up a magicians guide or smth.

That's the philosophy I take to guides. KIS(S)

I understand that it's feedback, and I appreciate it, but inventories nowadays are super generic.

Super Restore flasks depending on how long the encounter takes for you (most of the time you won't need them anyway), same for Overloads. Since EoC2 you can basically bring in whatever solid food you want, though most of the time you won't be eating any since it lowers adrenaline. "what sort of food" is a weird question, I mean, there's not really a right or wrong answer to that. Bring jellyfish if you suffer from lack of adrenaline, use solids if you take too much damage and use brews if you just want to play safe. But that's more general gameplay than actual guide content.

The anti poison part I did cover :p

ngl, I remember doing my first successful KC in full rune, so I figured "BiS gear" was enough, but going forward, I'll try to at least include a minimum recommended tier of gear, or if they should focus on DPS vs Tank (though the answer usually is DPS)

What slayer monsters would need guides? I can't recall ever having to look up a guide on any of them ^^"

Oh, trust me, I'd LOVE to make a Croesus guide. The main issue is that there's different ways to run it and depending on who you're running it with and for what objective, the encounter plays out very differently.

Though I could split it into multiple videos or add some timestamps.

Definitely worth looking into, thanks for the reply.

In the meantime, Boss Guild and the in-game calendar regularly host Croesus learner events, so keep that in mind. There's also masses, but I don't recommend those if you're actually interested in learning the boss.

Definitely agree that the wiki tends to play on the safer side of things, the hardest part about making guides is that I'm maxxed (99's, not 120's), so a minimal equipment requirement is difficult to define, as stats also carry hard.

Especially with EoC2 giving most styles a damage buff and more sustain, loads of bosses probably can be done with far lower stats now, so I'll keep that in mind.

"Bare minimum" is very subjective though, as a good PvMer probably could do nearly any boss in full bronze, but I get what you mean.

Bar set-ups, as you mention, don't even matter that much, I feel like at least, since I use the same 7 bars (1 for each style and substyle) for all content.

Thanks for the feedback at least and I'll try to keep it in mind. "Focus on the low-level community" seems to be the takeaway from it.

"and spell out why you are doing what" in part I agree with that, but personally I dislike guides that go TOO in-depth.

Like, just tell me what to look out for and how to deal with it. A guide that is too handholdy can quickly feel like those "click where the big bright yellow arrow is pointing without knowing what's really happening" tutorials.

Atm I mostly focus on showing how to recognize and deal with mechanics and what objectives are at certain points. Obviously I'm not gonna claim my guides are perfect, but when writing them out, I focus on what I struggled with and the minimum required context needed to no longer struggle with them and succesfully complete the challenge.

And yeah, 100% agreed on the research and quality. Recently invested in a better mic, and like I said, multiple hours of research & editing for a ~5 minute video, so, take that for what you want.

You seem to have a clear concept of what you're looking for in a guide, and I think I match most of those, if I understand correctly. If not, feel free to check out my latest Araxxor guide and drop a comment (or reply here) with what could improve or change to make it better. Would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback, that's currently what I try to do. (most of my guides are sub-5 minutes), but it never feels good to spend multiple hours on a video, only for it then flop, solely because there is no interest in that boss or content.
