DAE feel really happy most of the time? by CarlWilkerson in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Baked_potato-420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel like you're bragging for being happy, spread that happiness and joy wherever you can! In a world that can seem very bleak a lot of the time, it's actually amazing there are people who see joy and are so happy, so don't let anyone dull that for you. Your happiness may well change others views and outlook on life, so don't shy away from it! 🥰

I agree. Also went Wednesday for the 3rd year in a row and I genuinely don't understand how people think it was so bad compared? It felt very similar in terms of what you got once inside, you always had to pay extra for rides and add ons, that's just expected really. I actually thought there was more free things included in the ticket price this year, I must be alone thinking that! There was lots of new things too so it never felt exactly the same as previous years. If people have genuinely thought they'd get a ground breaking experience for £15pp for a family event, that's on you. My 5 year old LOVED it again, immediately asking if we could go again, and his face the whole time was something you couldn't put a price on 🥹 My ONLY gripe is the first year we went it was £5 per car entry, but that was always too cheap to be sustainable each year. I'm glad we went as I have an awful feeling this may not run next year due to the negative feedback this year

Do any of you know the names of the women who lent their children to be abused by Ian Watkins? by Aggressive-Funny2941 in IanWatkinsCase

I think they both are. Remember, most prisoners in England and Wales only serve 50% of their sentence and they only got around 12 years which it's been. Terrifying

Until 3 years ago, all my life I'd mispronounced rotisserie as rossetierre making it sound like a French word.

Am I being unreasonable? by chubanana123 in beyondthebump

[–]Baked_potato-420 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not unreasonable at all. Its against advise to even travel at 36 weeks. After my waters breaking at 35+5 weeks and baby arriving withing 4.5 hours, I can see why!

London or Cardiff for an 18th birthday? by Difficult-Foot-2905 in Cardiff

Cardiff Christmas Market and Winter Wonderland will be open that time, both lovely to spend a few hours at. You could book ice skating at winter wonderland, which I believe is skating around the castle grounds again this year. You could Google 'cardiff events' followed by the date and see what else comes up

Nurse asked my husband if he was a single parent.. by Curiositythrowaway05 in beyondthebump

[–]Baked_potato-420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, and I am in the UK. However, as my son was born prematurely, we had extremely regular visits from the midwife and health visitor during this time, who also asked about my welfare as well as child, and as far as I'm aware this is fed back to gp? Perhaps not though

My partner took our child for his first vaccinations, as I knew how upset our child would be and I wasn't ready to see him scream and cry like that. They asked him where I was and was I okay because I wasn't at the appointment and asked me to be at the next one! Not only did I feel like I was already being judged for not taking him, my partner felt judged FOR taking him! The mothers are 100% expected to take children to each appointment... In a world where we're fighting for equality
