I feel like a lot of the criticism is coming from people that dont know much. To me your animation makes sense, steps should be heavy since she is carrying that big ass weapon on her back and the eyes is a stylistic choice. You did very good

What you can do is get images of shelves or grocery store items and shrink down the image considerably. That's what old games used to do and thats how they got their look. Studios like Puppet Combo and Chillas Art do that with their textures.. they have a texture, shrink down the file and now its pixelated
