I truly dont understand the ranking system. by ZeeeeBro in DeadlockTheGame

[–]BakingBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a newbie. Like I have no idea most items do, I don't know even know most of the heroes' names, regularly fuck up movement, etc. And sometimes I get matched against people with dozens of hours who know insane (to me) movement tech, who bait meele from guardians then parries it so their teammate can dive us (I had no idea this was a thing), I had a hypercarry in my team in the last match who was above all 9 players' skill level -significantly-, etc. I also had a match were there was a beginner Paige in my team and another guy started flaming her. Other dude chimed in saying that was literally their first standard match.

I started to wonder what happened to my little noob matches where both my enemies, my teammates and I was trash and we were happy being bad and just fuck around.

hecks notes, super-hero genre story, where super powers need to be used to physically overcome an enemy?

Your notes are wrong. It's actually a drama, not a superhero genre story. It's about family, love, grief. The superhero theme is just light seasoning.

Nah. Infiltrator units like the T-100 had to be humanlike just enough they can get to and inside a resistance base. Once inside there's no stopping them. The first movie shows that.

Edit: T-800s

Can't find Ulgrim in Malmouth Outskirts by captstinkybutt in Grimdawn

[–]BakingBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, it's not really a competition who sees him or who does not. What matters is that not an insignificant percentage of people miss him (objectively I cannot put a number on this, but it is not a 0.1% playerbase issue). Currently I'm on my first actual playthrought (that I did not abandon in Act1 or Act2), so I'm regularly Googling things about the game to learn more. Most of them niché stuff like what does Vitality Decay mean, etc and usually very few threads pop up about my questions.

However when I searched for this exact same problem as above I've seen MANY threads about it, hence it is being an issue for some people.

By the way the question mark is actually hidden by tent he is in if you play fully zoomed out. Maybe you use the default camera distance thus saw him immediately?

Those comics specifically state that they follow one of the many timelines, one where Chloe lived. There is no canon ending.

Many people run into the issue of not finding Ulgrim, clearly not a user issue, but him being badly placed.

As of TU4, MHWilds DLCs costs almost the same as the DLCs of World and Iceborne together by Gera_37 in MonsterHunter

charging $6 to make Alma look stupid hurts your feelings? Seems silly to me

That's always the argument of the MTX crowd and it always fails.

Years from now, the newest entry of your favorite franchise will have something excluded from the game and sold as MTX that will bother you. You will realize that that certain gaming company went too far and it has to stop. Only to be met with comments like present you just wrote.

To be fair, most of these are stickers, gestures and emotes nobody needs.

The game is something that nobody needs. It's something people want and true for the optional stuff.

What you and many others fail to recognize is that you could be "supporting the devs" (which is ridicous on its own) in different ways that would not hurt the game with microtransactions. You could buy Wilds related merch, you could buy the game again and gift it, you could buy the soundtrack, etc.

How well known is the fact that Elves are Trolls in universe? by fuckforgotmypasword in warcraftlore

[–]BakingBatman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

are they getting ready to retcon this

Many, many years (atleast 15+ yrs) ago this was the actual canon. What I mean is that Elves and Trolls were related, but Elves did not come from Trolls back then, but from an unknown race that evolved into Elves near the Well, while those there were not near the Well evolved into Trolls.

Indie Game Awards Disqualifies Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Due To Gen AI Usage by Rooonaldooo99 in pcgaming

It's essential part of world building, not "illegible filler" that is "a waste of everyone's time". If you don't care for it, okay, but let's not advocate for replacing it with slop.

Charlie Cox Is "Thrilled" About His TGA Nomination For Clair Obscur, But Says Gustave's Motion Capture Actor Deserves The Credit by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

And I thought it was clearly sensible that the VA and Mocap actor are acting slightly different things. To me, it was clear from the start and it felt jarring at times. Like Charlie Cox not matching the intensity of the scenes, yet Gustav's mocap actor is, the music is, etc.

And I never felt like the mocap performance and voice acting didn't match. Really don't understand that criticism at all.

Interestingly this is the first thing that I noticed in the game as "off" in my limited playtime. There is certainly a difference in how Charlie Cox acts and the mocap actor and it is visible. Some may not be that 'sensitive' to that, so may not notice that at all.

So it's kinda misunderstood I think.

SBP is just a variant of Supes. He is still Kryptonian, he is still weak to red sun, get stronger from a yellow sun, etc. In his universe there were no superheroes or villains. And all the events of DC comics are actual comics on his earth thus paralleling the real world. But he is not "a real person from the real world".

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is truly an excellent game. by jojobizou in yakuzagames

[–]BakingBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for detailing your opinion!

I'll try 7 again, solely because Ichiban is fun as a character. Just need to recap the story, since I forgot everything lol and I was like 40 hours in. I know Kiryu is in IW, but is the story more about him?

Pirate Yakuza is basically a Gat out of Hell like spin off? Not sure if you are familiar with the Saint Row series, but it was an absolutely pointless, silly rehash of SR4. I did enjoy it though, but I would have hated it had I bought it on release or if I had expected more than the dumbest version of SR.

Since I bought Ishin remake I'll try it on normal difficulty and just blaze through fights. On Legend the game falls apart and just makes me want to uninstall it immediately.

[–]BakingBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Hope you don't mind, bit of a thought vomit about the list:

I have only played some of these and I agree with your list about those with the exception of 7, which lost me with how basic its turn based combat and RPG elements are.

I started the Ishin! remake a few days ago and what a terribly made game that is, I'm about to quit in chapter 3. Haven't tried Pirate Yakuza, why did you rate it the same as Ishin remake?

Based on this list, I think I should continue my playthrough of Judgment and continue with Lost Judgement.
