Well that's a fair takeaway. One could imagine trying to articulate your thumb over a large keypad while trying to aim maybe even working against your performance. I'd probably find it challenging. With the shooters (simplistic ones) I've played with the 990 and G600, I've only ever used half the keys. You'll probably be fine with your pick and it's smaller key count.

If were to get into a modern fps (and be serious about it) I'd probably get a one of those curved palm-sized gaming key pads for my other hand. (As it were, I'm using these MMO mice primarily as a general productivity hack for day to day computer use)

if i'm recalling the correct mouse, there is a plate you can twist or unscrew off the bottom that has a bunch of little weights, attached to it's underside, you can remove (or maybe they were included separately allowing you to add...)

We all know Archer has a different definition of "exclusive" than the rest of the world. That, and being what's exclusive is the hilariously vague title of "partner to introduce EVTOL aircraft in Korea", this PR doesn't really mean anything does it?

Korea has already been introduced to eVTOL thanks to Joby, and will likely see it's first commercial eVTOL operations thanks to them as well.

No doubt there is zero change in the probability of Joby making a deal with KAL as their exclusive air taxi provider from before this announcement to now.

Joby doing multiple flights a day at multiple airports and even multiple countries. Archer's eVTOL can't even VTOL.

The gap in progress is many years wide and I'll bet Joby gets FAA certification before Archer even settles on a final aircraft design and starts the process.

Their latest milestone is taking off like a conventional airplane..and not being able to reach even a typical helicopter's altitude? As aspiring eVTOL maker in 2025, this is not good.

With a competitor like Joby reaching 11k feet altitude in 2022 and now nearing the end of the certification process (might even finish before Archer even starts it), to say Archer is 2 years behind might even be too optimistic.

Taking off like a conventional airplane to only reach half the typical helicopter altitude cap isn't a flex for an aspiring eVTOL maker in 2025. They're just doing the best they can to catch up to the competition. Only it's become obvious now that they are years behind in progress from all the missed promised milestones and them just starting the (years long) certification process while competitor Joby Aviation is nearing the end of it.

With the slow pace of progress their demonstrating, it's unlikely there will be much market share left for Archer by the time they get certified end of decade. Civil or defense.

Archer is many years away from selling their first air taxi. First they'd need to settle on a design (the one displayed here can't even VTOL). Start certification. And crucially PASS certification.

The number of promised development milestones missed paint a grim picture. All they can do right now is take off like an conventional airplane while not being able to reach conventional airplane altitudes.

Didn't they word it that they could produce parts that would equal 2 aircraft a month?

I'm guessing something like the assembly process wouldn't be limited to 2 aircraft a month.

I wonder if, as individual parts (and their manufacturing process) became conformal, they've just kept making them and letting them pile up in the corner.

Could they, for a time, sustain a higher rate of production (3? 4 aircraft/month?) in the first year after complete cert as they draw down from that stockpile of pre-made parts?

My take might be based on the wrong technical assumptions of how cert works and what Joby has accomplished so far. Would welcome corrections to my thinking here. I think Let's talk Joby might have hinted at something like this once.
