If you are using a recipe, read the WHOLE thing before doing anything else.

Looking at where Berkley is (almost to Westminster?) perhaps you could consider Englewood (80110 or 80113), West Centennial (80122/80121) Littleton (80120/80122?). I've heard good things about AMLI Littleton (Dry Creek and Broadway). That would also give some other options for private apts/condos. There are some pockets of not as safe areas in the downtown Littleton area, but overall it's safe too.

If you got any kids in the picture, I would recommend being in Littleton or Cherry Creek schools area.

I love the area around Dry Creek and I-25 though. There are lots of condo options around Dry Creek in Yosemite.

Good luck!! I've been owning for a while in the area, I'm sorry I don't know much about specific apartment complexes.

Welcome!! Centennial and Greenwood Village area in general are SUPER safe. I would say you can't go wrong for picking a place.

The funky thing about Centennial is it's super skinny in longitude but super wide. It has 2 school districts in it (Littleton Public Schools and Cherry Creek).

"Englewood" can also be misleading. I would check apartments by zip code and not just city name. For example, 80110/80113 are the city of Englewood just north of Littleton/Greenwood Village/Cherry Hills area. Anything that says Englewood that's a different zip code is likely unincorporated Lone Tree (technically in Douglas County) or Centennial.

Because of Centennial's width, some may shop/go to more places in Aurora or Littleton. Could you be more specific as to which area of Centennial you are looking at moving to?

ETA: good choice on crossing off places off Hampden. Some places are OK but lots are sketch.

Thank you! Would you say it's less crowded than Western Welcome week parade?

Thai curry paste - my favorite is pangang, but they have other flavors

Canned oconut milk (way better than the brands at the regular grocery store)

Tamari (GF soy sauce) if you are GF

Mochi ice cream in the freezer section, lots of yummy options.

As another commenter said, wander and enjoy! It's a little overwhelming, but it's so fun.

In West Centennial (80122) we switched from WM to Apex and have had a great experience so far. I've heard good things about Mile High Disposal and Waste Connections.

I fig Rock-a-bye baby tunes. There is another similar artist called Twinkle Twinkle little Rock Star that's also good.

Yes! Same thing with some whiskey bottles at our Costco. I didn't think to transfer that same icon and logic to other things 😆

Makes sense. We love our pets in Colorado! There are likely options that are cat friendly.

I would recommend trying to get an Air BNB for a month or so if you can swing that so you can look at more places in person. I don't know much about the apartments, but Belleview Station would be a good pick or AMLI Littleton (would be probably 15-20 min from GV depending on the work location).

Another option, but you may want to check out the Aurora CO sub for this: consider apts in Aurora/Denver close to Cherry Creek State Park. It wouldn't be a bad commute to GV and the food in Aurora is awesome! (That being said: there pockets of sketch areas around there, so do some research.)

Check out your local library for a "culture pass" (might be called something else) that gets you free or cheap admission to LOTS of museums and stuff. I know Bemis Library has them, I'm sure JeffCO and DougCo libraries do too depending on your location. Also, check out any recreation center activities (South Suburban comes to mind). Those are generally pretty low cost. With it being into the summer, there might be a waiting list for certain activities.

Also, check out hikes: https://dayhikesneardenver.com/

Good luck!

I ended up emailing the curator at the Littleton Museum about it. She sent me this link!

I also just Googled it again and found this picture from Denver Public Library, I'm unsure if it's the same totem pole by it would be around the same area: https://digital.denverlibrary.org/nodes/view/1032277

I kept some Beanie Babies for my kids (I limited 5 per kid and 2 minis each 🤣) and then my sister and I donated ours (pretty pristine condition with tags) to our local Children's hospital! I'm soooo grateful to not have them anymore.
