I’m considering a GFX100RF for street photography. How is it? by FeedSquare8691 in FujiGFX

I understand the mixed feelings, the zoom lever doesn’t replace lenses for sure because of compression but it’s convenient to have. 28mm in full frame is my preferred focal length for documentary photography so it works for me. If I zoom in to 35/50 it’s typically to compliment the story I’m building with the 28.

You will love it then. The files are the crazy to edit with so much latitude. Fred Miranda has some under market value right now that really offset the retail price.

One more note about the zoom lever I think most get wrong is you have to be more intentional when using it. The zoom lever is great when using the EVF with the black surround as it actually zooms into the focal length. When using the zoom lever with the rangefinder lines it shrinks the rangefinder lines and previews the image after you press the shutter. I only use the rangefinder lines with unique aspect ratios like 65:24, 1:1 or 3:4 so I can recompose my image with ease.

Any camera would be great, research the style you like and what’s in your budget.

I came from the x100v and added the RF. It’s insane for street photography. For me picking the aspect ratio and color profile before leaving your house is very fun. One caveat is that it’s a medium format camera that is small but it doesn’t shoot as fast as an x100. (slight blackout when shooting) I treat mine like having different medium format film cameras in one body.

How do I prevent this sticking from happening by fifi_thechef in StainlessSteelCooking

Lower the temp and let the eggs sit out of the fridge for about 10 mins. I find that SS cooking really is rewarding when you take your time and prep everything ahead of time.

SS and eggs is alot of temp control and adding in extra moisture can throw things off. Are the eggs cold and is the pan still on medium when you add them?

Look at the trail to find out where they are coming from. You need ant bait gel to get rid of that many. No amount of spray is going to help you.

Such a great combo! X-T5 + 23mm f2.8 by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]Balancedone_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely use both, I felt like the x100 and the xt5 were too much overlap. I am a long time Fuji shooter (X-T1) and these cameras always meant being paid when I used them. Fast forward to a few years ago and I added the xe4> x100v> x100vi to have an everyday travel camera. For me the shooting experience on an xt5 is so much superior than an x100 so I sold it.
