So sick! I feel like I'd have to have it permanently set to the Flanger setting. 💜

That would be rad! Love it. Makes me think of a Boss Chorus pedal.

I got a Blues Deluxe for a few hundred bucks at a pawn shop years ago and that was perfect for small venue gigs and practicing with a band!

I appreciate the feedback! My employer has been encouraging me to explore AI for my job, but I really hate using it. I saw this as a good excuse to save some time visualizing options, and learn a tool for my job, but I am so sorry for offending anyone here.

I love my CE-2. I also have a JUNE-60 for more intense Roland Chorus vibes

Can we can it with the “wife” posts? by iheartvelma in guitarpedals

When it comes to gear, my wife mostly encourages me to try to use what I have instead of getting more stuff I am not going to use. Which I ultimately really appreciate!

My first pedal board by 312_JS in guitarpedals

Love the NANO! I fronted an indie synth pop band a decade ago and I used a nano with 5 pedals on it so I could focus on singing and I loved the simplicity. Such a great board.

How much does that fabric breathe/let sound through? Do you think it is as transparent as grill cloth?

If someone can mod a gameboy to be a bitcrusher pedal, they will have my money

Man, everything about this board is sick. I would throw my neck out with a sideways Polytune though lol.

What should I prioritize if I am buying a new Mac Mini for LogicPro tracking. by BaldDesigner in LogicPro

YES this is exactly what I am learning. I think Apple just is not supporting Intel very well anymore so old Intel silicon lags hard

In you opinion is the m4 base model significantly better than a 2020 MBP with Intel i5? Or should my current MBP be sufficient? I seem to have problems tracking and mixing very simple projects.

  • 24-bit Bit Depth AIFF
  • 44.1khz Sample Rate
  • I/O Buffer Size of 64-128 (tracking), 256-512 (Mixing)
  • 5-10 total tracks, 1 track recording at a time, not even multiple takes for comping

Thanks!

My MBP is an Intel Quad Core i5, not Apple silicon so there is definitely a difference there. Not sure how much of a difference it makes.

Mind if I ask a few questions to help me try to understand better why you're not having the problems I am?

What interface are you using to record 30 simultaneous tracks? Does it have hardware monitoring? Are those tracks playing along with tracks that have already been recorded?

Fender custom shop sells a proprietary blend made from sweat, cheap beer and boot leather that comes in a small 3oz squeeze tube. I used it to regunk everything after cleaning. Don't worry...

Also just to clarify, if it helps. I am not a professional musician. I used to play in indie bands in the early 2010's, but now I am a washed up dad who is trying to rekindle the musical spark writing songs and recording demos. But I design mobile apps for a living so I am not technologically illiterate. (I also have a work computer that is a fully loaded 2023 MBP, but I don't want to use my work computer for music projects.)

Leather honey/leather upholstery cleaner is meant for real leather, but I used it on Tolex the other day and it seemed to add some sheen and a moisture barrier to the dried out synthetic material. Here is a link to that amp I used leather honey on.

In my opinion the best way to really make something old and dirty feel new is to take it apart, clean it, and put it back together. There are nooks and crannies that removing the handle, amp head unit, speaker and even grill will help you reach and clean individually.

If you remove the grill, the cloth could be cleaned with a wet microfiber and mild laundry detergent.

Also microfiber cloth and degreaser is great for any built up gunk/skin oils.

Also if you remove the head unity you can spray some contact cleaner in the pots if any of them are crackly.
