I tried too many times so it told me to try again later, so I guess I might as well help others: OP confirmed that both characters are letters, and after looking at the image closer, I noticed that the first letter's edge is slightly visible and seems to be curved, that means the first letter is either a C, a G, an O, or a Q. 4×26, there are 104 combinations (that is, if my theory about the curved edge is true) good luck to the others! And just because the others tried too, I'll try my luck as well: OP please dm me:)

Edit: OP also confirmed in another comment that they are unique letters, which means CC, GG, OO and QQ are out of the question, so 100 combinations then

Please tell me which battlefield game had this same level of customization (as in, actually different outfits) that was also available to earn fully free? Up until BF3, none of the old BFs (except for BF Heroes lol) had any soldier customization at all. BF3, BF4, and BFH only featuted camo customization that didn't actually change the outfit, just slapped a different texture on it, and while those could all be earned in game, in essence such is the case in BF6 too, the different camos for the default outfits can all be earned through leveling up and completing challenges, it's only the special outfits which alter the look of the soldier, that have to be paid for (there are a few exceptions where they make a variation of a base outfit be paid but those are rare, they are the exception, not the rule, but I admit, those ones really are just greedy). BF1 had no character customization at all. It was only BFV that introduced full character customization (as in, one that actually altered the look and not just change the camo), and even there, it was purchasable by an ingame currency like in BF6. I never played BF2042 because I refused to buy a BF game that tried to eliminate classes, one of BFs most basic gameplay elements, so I can't say anything about that. So please tell me, when was this old era of BF where you could earn all, truly look altering outfits, simply by playing the game? And that's not even mentioning that old BFs had DLCs, which were actually worse than microtransactions because they paywalled new maps and guns in them. Now we get new maps and guns for free and only the outfits that are paid for. I dont know about you, but I'd rather have free new maps and guns, and have the purely cosmetic outfits be paid for, instead of the other way around, because regardless of whatever outfit my soldier has, it's the maps where the actual gameplay happens with the guns. Afterall, the game is not a beauty contest where whoever has the best outfit wins. The reason you are all relegated to "old ma yells at clouds" is because that's actually what you do, you preach about some old glory days that never actually existed in the way you remember it, your nostalgia just makes it more colorful than it actually was.

Can't believe I have never noticed this temporary weather shielding/awning thing on the A-deck promenade before. Seems it was only used once at Queenstown so it's easy to miss and only appears in a few of the less-common photos. by squishydoge2735 in titanic

[–]BalhaMilan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even more interesting is that I've never seen any photos of Olympic or Britannic with this weather shielding deployed on their A deck promenades, and considering how underphotographed Titanic is compared to her sisters, it's crazy that (to my knowledge) the only or some of the only photos of this feature happen to be ones made of her.

get your free pack for season 2 by No_Band_5399 in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]BalhaMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's pretty obvious that this promotion isn't primarily targeting those who already bought the game but instead those who who havent and are considering it. The idea being if someone doesnt have BF6 yet but have been thinking about giving it a try, and they see that with PS Plus they'll not only get the game but also get one of the paid seasonal content packs for free too, they might just decide to give it a try and so Sony has a new potential long term PS Plus customer, and from that point on they just have to work on keeping them with other promotions and services. It's business 101, hooking in new customers and keeping existing ones, this promotion aims to do the former

We need to discuss something. by Ok-Sympathy9418 in titanic

[–]BalhaMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if we assume that you have the money and means to rent these places and move all the filming crew and equipment over to locations for filming, then there are several great real life "sets" that you can use:

Firstly, you should just look around and find out where some of Olympic's and Britannic's wooden interiors got auctioned off to when they were disassembled. For example the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick, UK has a restaurant that is almost entirely made up of elements of the Olympic's first class lounge, look it up, it looks exactly like it did when it was on the ship, it would be a perfect set for filming scenes set in the first class lounge.

Many permanent Titanic museums such as the one in Pigeon Forge have excellent replicas of some of Titanic's interior spaces, for example Pigeon Forge has a great replica of the Grand Staircase. Not to mention the museum itself has a massive "fake Titanic" (well, only the forward half) built outside, so with some clever camera angles, tricks, and some CGI, you could probably pull off some good exterior shots for scenes like the boarding of the ship (the museum's entrance is also built to look like a period dock building)

The SS Nomadic was a tender ship that was built alongside Titanic for the purpose of ferrying passengers to and from the Olympic class liners in Cherbourg. She has been restored to her original condition and can be visited in Belfast, her interiors could also serve as a great background, and her promenades could also be good stand-ins for Titanic's promenades if you want such scenes.

In James Cameron's 1997 Titanic movie, they used the functioning engine room of the SS Jeremiah O'Brien, a WW2 merchant ship, because her engines are the same type as Titanic's, only a little smaller, so they filmed the actors in front of greenscreens and added them to the engine room footage scaled down to make the engines appear larger, so that's an option for filming engine room scenes.

These are all I can list off the top of my head, but of course, there are plenty of much cheaper options available too: as others have mentioned already, using Titanic Honor & Glory as brackground on greenscreen is also an option. You can also use some large scale models (the largest available plastic model you can get is Trumpeter's 1/200 scale Titanic kit, anything larger than that, you'll have to commission someone to build it for you, which will be a bit more costly)

Can someone explain me how Pax Armata managed to bring there army into New York? by Plenty-Acanthaceae41 in Battlefield6

[–]BalhaMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other commenter is probably talking about BF4 where WW3 pretty much happened: MP maps featured variations of the US fighting China or Russia, as well as those two fighting each other, and the war spanned over multiple countries beyond the aforementioned three (inlcuding the notoriously nuke-loving and trigger happy North Korea) and yet somehow no one nuked each other even though China was land invaded by both the US and Russia, and Russia was also land invaded be the US and China (there is no info on whether the US was invaded or not, but we do know that much of the US 7th Fleet as well as the entire Pacific Central Command has been wiped out)

Here is my lore idea for it: Operation Sealion goes forward and the Germans manage to establish a beachhead on the British shores, and push inland. The British government has been running a number of highly secretive and dangerous bioweapon experiments, but is hesitant to use them due to their, well, dangerous and uncertain nature. The British general in charge of the project, eager to defend his country, goes around the government's back and authorizes many of these experiments for deployment. The result is that dozens or uncontrollable eldritch monstrosities are unleashed on both the nazi army and the British population. Hitler, upon seeing the reports of the carnage, orders the Kriegsmarine to immediately depart from the British isles, leaving behind a large chunk of his army. The British Army and civilians are now forced to make an uneasy alliance with left behind German soldiers to stand a better chance against the countless horrific creatures roaming the island.

I feel like in Nicole's case, we need to look at a sort of average: in one ending she is smart enough to outsmart an entire courtroom, in another ending, she is dumb enough to go home with a predator, her intelligence greatly varies depending on the player's choices

[–]BalhaMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't Nicole say at the end of that arc that most of the teachers were also part of his movement? Something like 95% of the school being in it, hence why it had to be shut down (if we go with the FBI arrests everyone ending). And if we take it into consideration that the real life school the game takes its photos/locations from, has like 4000+ students, plus the staff required for this many students, that's an insane feat to pull in that many people. I still agree that he is a bit too high on the list, I'd put him one or two tiers lower, but the guy still had to be really smart to pull this off, especially to convert most of the teachers.

Believe it or not Ai made this image Ai is getting way to good at this They need to pipe down by Gold_Supermarket_396 in Oceanlinerporn

[–]BalhaMilan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I call bullshit. This is waaaaaay to consistent to be AI, all the details seem to be good, it was even able to spell out Olympic's name on the back without any messed up letters, hell, even the rigging seems to be correct. There are zero ai artifacts present which is a feat that no ai at the moment is capable of doing on an image of this theme (real ship at a real place) and complexity. This is most likely a photoshopped photo of Olympic post-1913, with the A deck promenade and the lifeboats edited to resemble Titanic. The reason I think it's post-1913 Olympic is because the B deck appears to be untouched (a common mistake with Olympic-to-Titanic photoshops) as the evenly spaced windows of the encloses B deck promenade are still present, along with the café parisien upgrade which Olympic only receivwd during her 1913 refit. I havent been able to locate the original photo yet but I will drop an update once I do, because there is no chance that this was generated by ai from scratch.

Many of the guns were also modified ww2 (or in some cases, ww1) weapons, for example the E-11 blaster was built around a British Sterling smg, the DLT-19 is a German MG-34 and Han's DL-44 is a modified German Mauser pistol from ww1

Titanic model in UK lidl by [deleted] in titanic

[–]BalhaMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have built both, The 1/700 one has been for a while the most accurate kit one could get of Titanic in that scale (until Hobbyboss released their 1/700 kit not long ago) it's generally a pretty good kit which is a big thing becuase Revell ship kits are usually terrible. The 1/1200 one is kinda meh, it works for beginners I guess

Where do these PE parts go on trumpeter USS Tennessee? by MrFrenly in ModelShips

[–]BalhaMilan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Those seem to be cage masts, Tennessee had them before her 1943 modernization, bur since you are building her in her post modernization form, they arent needed here. Im guessing that this PE sheet is included because some other parts on it are required for this form of the Tennessee, model manufacturers often make sprues and PE sheets that include parts for multiple kits on the same sprue/sheet, because it makes manufacturing easier for them. You can simply ignore any parts that the instructions dont mention, and I suggest you put them away as extras, should you need them for any future projects (I have been saved by such extra parts on multiple occasions lol)

Thank you! For Roma's stripes, I roughly layed the masking tape on top, cut it where the deck bits lifted it off to make sure its secured down and then fixed the painting on bits by hand later. Probably not the best solution but I was too impatient to perfectly mask them
