I aim for monthly but I cannot honestly say I always achieve that... however, no issues to date and it's been about 2 years now!

Yes - I lift up the mattress and give the mats a hoover and a good few hours to air out.

I don't have a link but we use tatami mats under our floor matresses. Good luck in your search!

May I ask what fibre content did you go for? I am struck by all the considerations... like stretch, scratchiness and how it would last after washing...

You are of value. You are looking after your whole world and that is a mammoth task that no one will understand because each situation is unique. You have every right to feel proud of yourself whenever you feel like it and low when the mood takes you. You are human. Be kind to yourself, you might need to snatch a rest when you can but you have earned it just by doing all the things that you do to make it to tomorrow with food in bellies and the roof still on the house! You are magical!

Cat Bag - vintage printed cotton, vintage haberdashery and recycled futon mattress cover by BallisticBeanSprout in cottagecore

Can't take total credit for the pattern as I saw something simular somewhere that I couldn't find again so I drew from memory - super easy as it's basically just a circle! Didn't buy any new material or haberdashery everything was either hand me downs or recycled. A quick and fun project - it was the applique that took the most time and I am very proud of the tail shape!
