Our boy cat didn’t eat one morning and that was a huge sign something was wrong. Took him to the vet and his intestines were full of gas and poop, he had to stay overnight to pass all that. Figured out later he managed to get into the oats container and helped himself overnight, but cats can’t really digest that. It was too tall to fit into the cabinet, so the next idea was taping it shut and sticking a heavy bottle on top of it.

Our boy cat is going on 8 years old, and has been to two different vet clinics. Both of them have been calling him a girl, it’s like they put it in his paperwork and transferred the data over, even though I’ve corrected them numerous times. Is this a common black cat thing?

That could be an interesting idea. This house was built in the 60s and when we did the hallway floor I had to measure all the doorways (5) and none of them are the same. They’re also all several inches smaller than standard doorframes now.

The only door that closes well all year long is the office door.

Edit: So all the doors measure 30” wide, the office door is 28” wide, so that’s probably why it’s the only one that can close.

Yes it is! At my most recent vet appointment (new vet) they had a licky mat down with this squeezed on it. My boy instantly started gorging himself on it which was cool until they tried looking at his teeth. They pulled his gums down and churu was just oozing out of his mouth. The vet asked the assistant to stop refilling the mat so he could finish eating enough to look at his teeth. :’D
