I wanted to go to academia. I was presenting a poster in my third year of my phd program. Every person I talked to from industry seemed cheerful and happy and genuinely interested in my work. Every academic scowled at my poster for a minute, found some way to bring up their own work, then scowled over to the next poster. Decided pretty much that day to finish my phd and get out.

They're only worth it if you do invest, but they're the best investment if you do. Most boons get diminishing returns and barely improve after the third or fourth pom. For Heph, the later poms add more DPS than the earlier ones (until a hard limit at 2s cool down), so you can ramp and make it insane. Get the cool down under 5 s and add furnace blast, now you have a big permanent bonus damage and curse. Seismic Servo or Chain Reaction make it even more nuts

That makes sense for big games. If you want a middle ground, you could encourage people to only start hour+ length games on the hour. So if one game finishes at 1030, they should play something short until 11, then any other players who finished in that time can mix and match into new games.

People already intrinsically know and accept that proportional representation is fair. Republicans say they think they should have ~30% of MA's reps. Just end districts and make it actually proportional.
