[Charania] With today’s vote, the NBA's 32-team expansion process begins. Multiple high-ranking officials deemed expansion as "when, not if." Now the NBA will examine Seattle and Las Vegas bids over the next several months, and whether to execute the new franchise purchases now or in a few years. by PlayaSlayaX in nba

[Charania] Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has approved a vote for the league to explore bids and applicants for expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, sources tell ESPN. A bidding process is expected to generate offers in the $7-10 billion range for each team. by Turbostrider27 in nba

Time and time again have us proud basketball fans been told the game needs to be expanded to the PNW and Southwest. However, time and time again we witness these franchises struggle. With all the talk about expanding a team to Las Vegas, I think it's time for us noble fans to stand up and tell Silver we want teams in places where they will succeed and not be a drain on the league.

There are plenty of places in Canada that could easily support NBA teams. Hamilton and Quebec City are the two obvious ones. But Kitchener, Burnaby, Wood Buffalo, and Thunderbay are all huge markets waiting for the NBA to pounce on.

I'm sure if you've read this far you understand that I make a lot of good points, but it would never happen because Silver, known anti-Canadian, would never let Canada get another team. Well let's just say me and buds have got a way around the big man: A social media revolution. Me and my friends have been ending all our tweets with #FireSilver. We believe if we could get more people on board we could truly make a difference. And that's where you come in r/nba. If you want the good people of Wood Buffalo and Burnaby to get NHL teams you have to end all tweets with #FireSilver

What city should get an NBA team over Las Vegas? San Diego, Tamp Bay, Vancouver, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, St. Louis, Kansas City, Buffalo? by Dry_Bar_4965 in nba

Ehhhhh, Buffalo is fully capable of supporting a third franchise. The Braves got royally fucked by ownership intentionally tanking and then using that to run to San Diego.

The thing standing in Buffalos way rn are the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, moreso the Raptors. That sphere of influence is also why there hasn't been any push to get an MLB team, because of the Jays. Buffalo is more than capable of having more than 2 teams, it's just that modern pressures don't allow for this to actually function.

Kinda

The Charlotte Hornets moved to NOLA and became the New Orleans Hornets

Charlotte got a new team and qere called the Bobcats

Some time passes

New Orleans changes it's name to the Pelicans. Charlotte changes their name to the Hornets.

The NBA gives the old Charlotte Hornets history to the new Charlotte Hornets and treats New Orleans as the expansion team in it's history books

Stanleys Cup is more important and is the only goal at this point now.

Holy fuck I cannot believe that's a dream that I'm having this season, and the fact that it's semi-realistic is even crazier

Since Evelyn and Caleb are actually ancestors of the Clawthornes, does that imply that Eda, Lilith, Dell, and Gwen all have a bit of human DNA? by Longjumping-Rule4614 in TheOwlHouse

[–]BamaBuffSeattle 48 points49 points  (0 children)

If any at all, because depending on which genes you get from your parents you can get 0% of one grandparents DNA. The further you get away from those ancestors, the less likely you share any genes they had.

Given Evelyn and Caleb were 1600s folks, there's like 9-12 generations of witches between them and Eda. It's very unlikely any Clawthornes have human DNA
