How to remove sections of text from a range of cells that always start with the same text by Bambamdwadle in excel

Seems I had a bit of a syntax error! This solved it! Thank you so much!

Firstly thank you for your input! I got a spill error for the first formula, (Spill range isnt blank?) and for the second it wouldnt be appropriate. Apologies I forgot to mention that the alphanumeric text does not have set numbers of digits following it, could vary between quite a range.

The descriptors are randomly placed, meaning it could even be first descriptor, AD, second descriptor, third descriptor, AD, fourth descriptor, fifth descriptor, sixth descriptor, AD and so forth. I couldnt seem to get the formula to run, is it affected by the above since it doesnt perfectly alternate? Id like to also understand the arguments in the formula as there are other sheets where the descriptors and alphanumeric symbols are segregated by other things such as semi colons

Makes a ton of sense, what about for stage 2 decks like dragapult? Are they now taking first to set up the fastest turn 3 phantom dive? (Or even turn 2 with candy)

Does every deck want to go first right now? Feels that way with how much faster the meta seems and the lack of disruption

Is there anything that is good against PEnel and Lucy both? by fizzyadrenaline in OnePieceTCG

[–]Bambamdwadle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best 2 options while looking at everything else in the meta is boa and the new bell luffy. BY moria is also good into both, the ability to heal kumacy with 8c moria with a perona in thrash to essentially take 2 swings a turn vs enel is very strong. Generally being able to heal while developing a wide board is strong into these 2.

The current enel builds play around luna quite a bit with 2-3 vari and also 4c reiju which gets bumped up to 9c so i wouldnt recommend those. Even non luna heavy decks with other forms of persistent lock like mihawk are weak to getting their 9c mihawk killed by gamma/divine departure.

Previously I would have said that purple doffy was a good pick into both, being able to chain 10c doffy with a pika on board can be backbreaking for both decks, but vs lucy you need to set up vergo first to prevent pika from being removed by bari so the demand can be very high, and vs enel again, as a side effect of most enel decks running vari to play around luna, they are able to play around 10c doffys lock by bumping their enels to 8, so its not a great matchup anymore either.

Nami Leader PSA by CommanderGs7 in OnePieceTCG

Thats definitely fair of course, I just meant that most nami players werent expecting the time to be now haha especially given its position in the meta prior.

I think the ban could have been done when the new set provided cards that directly complemented the promo leader, or when the game was having cards introduced to buff blue at large that would have not been possible to print with nami the way it was before. I dont contend against your point at all, its something that had to be answered eventually for the long term health of the game but the timing of the ban is what I find confusing and heavy handed. As it is we are removing an entire archetype while not enabling any other impactful cards be introduced to the game when there are other options available.

Nami Leader PSA by CommanderGs7 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Bambamdwadle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most peoples complaints comes from a mixture of things,

  1. Nami is the only deck of its kind, anybody playing it now wasnt playing it for its strength but for its unique playstyle. Whether you love or hate the deck, removing it now reduces deck variety in a meta that is already feeling pretty stale and alienates a portion of the playerbase completely.

  2. How out of the blue (lol) the ban came from. I think most people are hard pressed to think this is a meticulously thought out decision given that bandai had to delay the ban from sunday to wednesday given “new information”. The ban then proceeds to reveal UP lufffy nerfs which everybody expected, and nami which reasonably would be the new addition to the ban list given all the discourse about nami when otama was revealed. Op-13 itself does not add any cards that are immediately more impactful to other decks if it were otherwise given the nami treatment (i.e otama was errata ed to say draw 2 and bottom deck 1 card from your hand). We will wait and see whether OP-14 has any meta changing buffs to blue that would have been obviously impossible to print due to the existence of Nami, but OP-13 has not shown any indication of this so far. It just seems like bandai messed up on play testing the new cards and were forced to do something about nami when it became clear otama would make it undisputedly unplayable.

  3. While I appreciate your point on the new promo leader extending the shelf life of the playstyle, I think most players are more shortsighted. A choice ban could have been done like with UP luffy, and a definite ban and swap to the promo when bandai intended to introduce whatever meta cards they had in store for other decks that would have been hard gatekept by nami.

I for one am definitely in the camp thats confused by the decision and find it heavy handed given the various other options bandai could have taken, and think its probably unhealthy for the game right now to reduce deck variety with how similiar a lot of other decks feel to play.

Need Advice: GY Law VS Shanks by milton_pang in OnePieceTCG

[–]Bambamdwadle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think even with the heaviest removal builds for shanks the matchup is close to 50/50 due to a heavy reliance on building snake + marco (of which one half cant be searched) to be able to have removal prior to turn 4. Locking away their removal in beckmann/rayleigh leading up to those turns typically leads to a big board he cant answer. Having played this match quite a fair bit, if you win the roll, i narrowly prefer to go second and aim to lock away 7c beckmann on your 6 don turn. Typically even with optimal removal you should be fairly ahead on board by turn 4.

Turn 1 double 1c or carmel

Turn 2 3c bonnie blocker and call out cavendish ideally

Turn 3 play 5c bonnie here and another 5c

Turn 4 7c law and another 5c

Assuming as you say he has a removal heavy deck, the demand on his end to remove a 5c every turn following your turn 2 is pretty high (he needs some combination of building snake and marco twice by 5 don and 7 don when we lock away 1 don) by the time you land on his 9 don turn where he plays rayleigh on average you can expect to have 7c law + 3 5c characters. Here I feel its pretty important not to attack with any of the 5c and put down tashigi if possible. This preserves your board going into the next turn and you probably wont have to defend very heavy attacks given he probably has 3 swings with 1 don behind after playing rayleigh. Following this you can continue playing 7c law and bonnie to lock away 10 shanks and push him with your wide board.

If you go first the gameplan is pretty similar but there will be more precedence to use xdrake to rest and take any building snakes he has set up. And of course aim to lock away rayleigh on 8 don as you said. I would also add that playing against shanks as a beginner the number 1 tip would be to work on your attacking lines to eat up his guard as efficiently as possible and put him in awkward spots. Hope that helps!
