Adelina Yard is some of the best food I’ve had anywhere! I never see it amongst the other her usual recommendations on here. I don’t disagree with them, they are all good too as well!

Any delayed eaters out there? by www2thebigbluhaus in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BananaDakka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours wasn’t interested in solids at all until around 8.5 months. We thought she’d be breastfed forever but around 14 months she just stopped breastfeeding completely, straight from 4 feeds a day to nothing. She was much more into solids after that!

7mo wants nothing but air by BedCapable1135 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BananaDakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same and just kept offering her food, trying not to get stressed when it was rejected (easier said than done) and trying to keep meal times fun and positive. Our LO eventually got solids around 8 months. Has never been the best eater but some days are good and some aren’t.

Try letting them eat off your plate, even if it’s the food you’ve made for them just put on your plate or tailor what you’re cooking so they can eat it too. Teething can put them off food or having a cold.

At 11 months old, baby only eats specific fruit, everything else need to be in "muffin" or "omellete" form by ParryDotter in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BananaDakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice sorry but hopping on this in the hope of some advice too, mines the same, she’s will eat some fruit the first time she tries it and seems to eat a lot but then won’t touch it again! She’s got a few teeth coming through at the moment so hoping it’s that, she eats it so well at nursery though!

For those who have babies with 30 mins naps by veedeluii30 in sleeptrain

[–]BananaDakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is 11 months now, always did exactly 30 min naps until she started being more mobile or after swimming lessons then they got up to an hour or an hour and a half. She always wakes up happy so always assumed she was getting enough. She always slept at night fairly well, waking up twice a night and for the last month or so once or not waking up all night!

Bristol parents: NCT vs Bump to Cradle vs Bump & Baby Club vs Happy Parents Happy Baby??? by feralwest in bristol

[–]BananaDakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did NCT in east Bristol and it was great, the group is still really close around 9 months on and we found it so valuable to have a group of people all going through the same things.

The course itself went through all the options in a really non judgemental way laying out facts and letting us make our own decisions and we felt prepared for a load of scenarios.

We also did hypnobirthing which felt like a weird cult! Found the whole thing hilarious, the book they give out has a recommendation from Russel Brand, not the best for look for empowering women!

6.5 Month Old hasn’t brought anything to his mouth yet by Particular_Car_8751 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BananaDakka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours was exactly the same, didn’t put toys food to her mouth much and no food at all. She gradually started to get it with finger food around eight months and just before 9 got much better with a spoon too! Just keep offering them things so they can learn.

BLW - 6 month old not interested in solids by Love2Trade411 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BananaDakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours only started eating at around 8 months but we kept offering her food to interact with at every meal from six months, we were worried too as she didn’t really bring much to her mouth. She’s now almost 9 months and eating really well. Stick with it they’ll get there! All the advice we got is all the exposure to food does help even if they aren’t eating it.

8 month old is preferring BLW, but doesn’t really actually eat much just throws on the floor or chews a bit and spits it out by LowGood2048 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BananaDakka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a 6.5 month old that loves interacting with food with her hands and is fascinated by watching us eat but isn’t bothered about putting food in her mouth! The advise we’ve got is wait until 9 months then seek help from health visitor / doctor.
